About this listen
Brigette Harmon is exiled to a small town in New Hampshire to run the Lovely Lucy Lodge before the Christmas Festival. With a new chain hotel coming to town, she knows Baden can't support two lodgings. Brigette has the skills to update the lodge, but the one thing she didn't factor in is the whole town playing matchmaker with the handsome Bryce, a dark-haired mystery who came back to his hometown to manage the hotel while facing his past and finding his future.
Since the only thing Bridgette and Bryce have in common is that they can’t stand each other, hearts versus business clash in this delightful Christmas love story.

A Hallmark movie in your ears!
This heartwarming story brings us back to what is truly important. Brigette has been sent to Lovely Lucy Lodge to help update it before the Christmas Festival. Good at her job, she works to keep the small town feel and bring it to the current century! On the other side of town, a new hotel chain is emerging. Bryce is doing his best to bring the business there, but it's not as easy as he thought it was going to be. But the forces at work are not necessarily working to keep both hotels going, but match up Bryce and Brigette! These two begin as oil and water. Now the time has come and jobs on the line, decisions have to be made. Will Brigette finally give in and fall for Bryce? This is a fun listen. I love the small town feel, the green shag rug and the dinners all together. The contrast of the hotels proves just what it takes to keep the feel of the town, and the characters in line make us not only smile but fall in love with it's charm. Brigette is a tough cookie. Good at her job, she is focused, so much that she almost lets her feelings for her job get in the way of a budding relationship. Bryce is faltering at his position, but his heart is in the right place. And who wouldn't go to Snow dive? Fun, laughter, Christmas cheer, horse and carriage rides and love. This is like a Hallmark movie in my ears!
Narrated by the talents of Sarah Jane Bookman, we are treated to a town full of amazing characters. From the busy body, to the mayor, to Brigette and Bryce, it's all there, giving us the feel of community and love. A pleasure to listen to.

Got to love Christmas!!
What an interesting book! First of all, there was no meet cute and no romantic build-up. Instead, you have two people who end up in the same town, in the same industry but rivals, at the same time. The characters are hardworking but ordinary. That is, until the story develops a little more. The town is special and the time of year, being late autumn to Christmas, is magical. I enjoyed how the seemingly ordinary grows into the extraordinary sprinkled with Christmas cheer.
This book is light and feel-good. The main characters are interesting and slowly grow on you, which i found interesting. I honestly didn't start the book liking them. Sarah Jane Bookman does a great job narrating the book, making it a pleasant and easy listen.
