A Christmas Cozy Mystery
Cendrine West is looking forward to a cozy Christmas Eve dinner when a blizzard blows in, bringing with it a flurry of unexpected guests. But tipsy witches and mischievous magic spell a recipe for disaster, especially when a guest turns up dead.
Cen’s sleuthing exposes a Santa-size sack of trouble, and everyone’s a suspect, even her hunky sheriff boyfriend. Is it a deadly accident by a drunken witch...or something more sinister? Murder is on the menu, and only magic can uncover the truth in this witchy, wacky Yuletide thrill ride!

Glorious
I am extremely frustrated! However hard I search I cannot find a way to book myself into the Westwick Inn and how I'd love to stay there. First of all I must give due acknowledgement to the voice performance of Petrea Burchard. She has voiced this entire series and she brings the characters to life, (even Cendrine's Grandma!). I just love the relationships in this family and the squabbling sisters spending Christmas swapping increasingly barbed jibes at each other was superb. The story was clever, starting with a new character and then sneaking and snaking its way around the family and familiar faces until they were all intertwined. Colleen Cross provides precisely measured out ingredients for the perfect cosy mystery pie, and she tops it off with a pinch of her own, unique and special sprinkle of magic to make sure we readers will keep coming back for another serving. A joyous delight at any time of the year.

Magic, Spells and a murder - highly entertaining
I listened to this on audiobook.
I'll be the first to admit that I don't usually read Cozy mysteries, however this four part book series appealed to me because of the Witches and magic contained within said stories. So because of that I decided to give the first book "Witch You Well" a go and I'm very glad that I did. So it was a no brainer to continue on with the series right to through the very end, which is this book 4 'Christmas Witch List'.
This has been another thoroughly entertaining story, with plenty of drama and witchy woo going on which really does make for fun reading, not to mention the parts that had me laughing out loud. And if that wasn't enough, there's also a murder that takes place at a dinner party and pretty much everyone of the guests in attendance is a suspect as there are plenty of motives coming to light. It's a good job that Sheriff Tyler was also a guest as it falls to him to control the guests whilst trying to figure out who done it. Which is no easy task when there's magic and spells galore getting in the way of things. It really was very entertaining from start to finish.
One thing that really helps the story come alive is the narrator, I have to say that Petrea Burchard has done absolute wonders with each of the characters voices, especially that of the ghost of Grandma. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to listen to a book in the future where she is the narrator.

Merry Deathmas!
This is my final book in this series and I've listened to them pretty much one after another with a little break in between.
I loved this one even though it is a Christmas story and I listened to it during lockdown in the UK in June! In a heatwave!
The story was just so much fun and there were new characters who were funny and entertaining and fabulous. I loved the magic in the book and that plus the excellent narrator and the quality of writing made it a 5 star listen for me.
I feel sad that this is the last one in this series but I've been inspired to check out more Colleen Cross.

Fantastic book!
These books.... they encapsulate you, throw you inside the book, allow to become part of it, then at the end spit you out!!! This author has a great talent and I thoroughly enjoyed reading book 4. This was slightly darker than the others but equally as brilliant.
This book was given to me for free at my request and I have provided this voluntary review.

My favourite audiobook of the series yet!
I enjoyed this story very much, in fact it's my favourite instalment of the series despite the fact that the action never moves very far afield. It has elements of the classic whodunnit, locked room detective novel, complete with red herrings and theories flying thick and fast as the characters try to identify the culprit alongside the reader. A compelling storyline, complete with the characters we know and love well, as well as one or two others who we know less and perhaps feel less warmth towards. No one is forgotten or left behind.
The narration, as always, is perfect.

I really like these stories. The needling of the family still somehow interferes and reveals the mystery.

Exciting chrismas mystery
Loved the fast pace of this book - that it was basically only one day in the life of these crazy witches. I must say that grandma vi is my favourite and liked to see (a bit) of another side of Aunt Pearl. Always well done with twists and turns you cannot expect!

Witchy Mystery
This is the 4th book in this series. I haven’t read any of the previous books and I would not suggest starting with this book. The story jumps right into the action. If you’ve read the others not having to sit through a rehash would be good but it didn’t let me really get acquainted or emotionally involved with the characters. Except for Aunt Pearl, I truly detested her. The mystery was interesting and with the large cast of characters it kept you guessing if it was an accidental death or a murder.
The narrator was very good with a wide range of voices. She really helped to make this a good listening experience. I’m having a hard time figuring out what to rate this book. I think not knowing the characters really detracted from my enjoyment but I am intrigued enough to think about getting the first book in the series. I was given this free review copy Audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Westwick Witches cozy mystery Book 4
I enjoy this cozy mystery series so much! I would strongly encourage anyone to start with book one so that you will be familiar with the characters and not miss anything. This family of witches is a hoot!
Narration was great and brought the story to life!
This series is so entertaining and fun with unexpected twists and turns and delivered with lots of laughter! Aunt Pearl is still up to no good and trying to run the sheriff out of town. She invites several people to their family holiday celebration. Cendrine is not pleased but there is nothing she can do. This will not be a private family dinner like she had expected and trouble brews.
Excellent Author and amazing narrator! I’m always looking forward to any book done by this dynamic duo!

Check Murder Off The List
As usual when the West family women get together mayhem seems to soon follow and this Christmas Eve is no exception with Aunt Pearl up to her usual shenanigans. Cendrine is looking forward to a romantic evening with her boyfriend, sheriff Tyler Gates, however he is delayed by a blizzard and when several unexpected guests begin to arrive her dreams of a perfect evening are quickly shattered. Things quickly go from crazy to chaotic and when one of the guests dies it is obvious there is a murderer in the mix. There is never any shortage of laughter and fun when listening to one of these stories. Petrea Burchard always does such an amazing job with the narration. By now we have come to know each character by voice and have never been disappointed. This book was given to me for free and I provided this unbiased review and I certainly have no qualms recommending it! I can’t wait to see what the Westwick witches will be up to next!

Best Mystery in the Series!
Christmas Witch List has been my favourite book in the series so far. I found it to be perfectly paced. I enjoyed interacting with the characters even more. This mystery is also my favourite so far. This book could be read on its own and there was some background information given. I think there could have been a little bit more background information given, for those who have never read anything else in the series.
Petrea Burchard did a fantastic job with the narration and voices.

Aunt Pearl strikes again.........
Christmas Witch List is the fourth book in this series featuring a magical family of witches living in the small town of Westwick. Cendrine is a non-practicing witch with lots of unused magical powers, her mother Ruby uses her powers for mostly kitchen magic, and her Aunts Amber and Pearl are powerful and skilled witch practitioners. The entire family is gathered together for their usual Christmas Eve celebration, but Pearl has shaken things up by inviting several unexpected guests. Cendrine has also invited her boyfriend Tyler, the sheriff of Westwick and Aunt Pearl's archenemy. Two of the guests are Aunt Pearl's star pupil at her magic academy and her boyfriend, and two others are Cendrine's ex-fiance and his current girlfriend. Aunt Pearl's current flame Earl dressed in Santa regalia is also attending. Talk about a recipe for disaster, and Aunt Pearl overreaches her goal of getting some excitement when one of the dinner guests drops dead of poisoning. Everybody starts pointing fingers at everybody else as the guilty party, but I was completely shocked by how everything came together in the end. If you enjoy a great whodunit with lots of delightful and funny character interactions and just a dash of the paranormal, this book and the entire series is an excellent option.
Petrea Burchard narrates all the books in this series, and she is truly the voice of Cendrine. I love how she portrays Aunt Pearl's highly crotchety and confrontational personality, and her performance is absolutely flawless. I recommend anything that Colleen Cross writes and anything the Burchard narrates. Together, they make for great entertainment.
I received a copy of this audiobook at my request in exchange for this honest review.

Not your ordinary Christmas story
This was a very entertaining Christmas story with a magical twist. It really took me on an emotional roller coaster. Rare in a book to a become enraged on the primary characters behalf. What the author put that pure girl through made for a story I really loved. There were so many twists and turns, that it at times was hard to follow, but that’s part of what makes a great audiobook. The narrator was amazing in really bringing the different characters to life. This is one author I am looking forward to listening to or reading again.

A Great Listen
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request, and have voluntarily left this review. It's the most wonderful time of the year in Westwick Corners, or almost, that is. A terrible snow storm has changed the plans for the West family Christmas, with extra people being added and sheriff Tyler stuck at work. All these extra guests has Cendrine confused and grumpy. Just when things seem to turn to the better, one of the guest drop dead. Was it an accident or is everyone trapped with a murder. Lots of suspense and craziness leads to them solving the crime. Always a great listen.

All I Want For Christmas . . .
I've been following this series on audiobook, quite deftly narrated by Petrea Burchard, and have watched Cen become ever so gradually more adept at spells and witchcraft. Like Samantha in "Bewitched," she rather considers it cheating to use magic for things she can do herself (no, wait, that was what Darren thought). However, each story so far could easily stand alone, so if this is your first introduction to Westwick, you will feel right at home. This Christmas pageant introduces you to some South Pacific lore--based on historic events!--as magic is overcome by old-fashioned greed and guile.

From the very beginning when I heard this narrator I was hooked! There are some books that are just better in audio and this is definitely one of them. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Thoroughly enjoyable cozy mystery
This is a thoroughly enjoyable cozy mystery. It has a great mixture of mystery, suspense, and romance. The narrator does a wonderful job of reading this book and bringing each character out.
