About this listen
One awkward billionaire. One failed psychic.
A tale as old as time....
Lola Pink: He schedules everything. And I mean everything.
I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I took this job. I thought it would be simple - pretend to be Mr. Dane Clark's personal assistant, find the missing blueprints, and get out of the Clark Castle for good. But, somehow this socially awkward, tech-genius billionaire has wormed his way into my heart. And even if we survive this mess, I'm not sure I want to leave.
Dane Clark: How do I put this? She's...pink.
So very pink. Bright and sunny and peppy. I mean, she has at least 104 pairs of sunglasses. Why? I've never seen a woman wear so many sunglasses before: red, pink, blue, green, glitter-encrusted. I don't understand it.
As for her organizational skills? Abysmal. Her attention to detail? Non-existent. Her ability to frustrate me to no end? Spot on. I never should have hired her. Lola Pink does not fit into my schedule. Nevertheless, she whirled into my life anyway; and she changed everything. Now I'm stuck trying to keep my company afloat and the two of us alive, while Lola turns my life all shades of pink.

good storyline
I thought the narrator sounded about like a robot trying to sound human, apart from that the story was good

Loved it
Kept me entertained the whole book through. Light hearted interesting story with humour. Not as predictable as many other books.

Surprisingly good
Really enjoyed this one. The mystery was interesting and I thought everyone could have been the culprit at some point. The
Lola was funny and a bit all over the place, I liked her but sometimes she did grind on my nerves. Her hot millionaire, socially awkward boss is lovely. I object how everyone keeps saying that he is weird, but I think he's just on the spectrum, people should be more understanding.

Not quite me!
I’m afraid that this was a disappointment to me. Nothing seemed to attach my attention. I persevered with it because I expected that at some point into the story, it would pick up - but it didn’t. Even the romance was lacklustre! Totally unbelievable or incredulous! I’d already purchased the follow up book, so I’ll have to read/listen to it, but I’m not enthusiastic.
There’s little to no depth of character in ANY of the characters. The storyline is hit and miss and even the dramatic conclusion of the mystery was a bit ‘blah’! However, I know this author to be very talented in weaving a plot and developing characters, from a previous series of hers that I had just finished. This is NOT in that category - I would have said that they were written by different authors!
Try this novel, but if it does nothing for you, try: ‘Shoot The Breeze’ by Ms La Manna, much better!

Easy listen
Basically a standard romance. Narration is so so, I found the "male" voices monotonous and irritating after a while. The story trajectory easily predictable, so if you want a story that is background noise or an effortless listen, this is for you.
