About this listen

It’s time to put away silly ideas about whether or not you should be an alpha and accept that it was never up to you in the first place. You can’t protect what’s yours unless you claim it and take your rightful place.

Chase Coleman is content with the life he’s made for himself as sheriff of a sleepy little West Texas town. He might have walked away from his role as the alpha-apparent of his home pride, but he didn’t regret making the choice to live as an out gay man.

Paxton Summers could see that Chase was the alpha of the town’s shifters, whether he wanted to accept the title or not. Once he realizes that he and the sexy sheriff are fated mates, it becomes his mission to make Chase see he never had to choose between his destiny and being true to himself because Copper Creek was exactly where he was meant to be.

Chase just needs to see that he hadn’t left his future behind at all. Instead, all along, he’d been chasing fate.

The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. Kenneth Obi is one of the top 5 narrators (so far) for me, I can listen without break and have no problems to follow. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

as great as the ebook

Chase is going to be Alpha but takes a job as Sheriff in a small town and has picked up Shifters on his way. When the new human baker turns up to town Chase knows he is his fated mate. Paxton is on the new journey and sees Chase and wants the best for him. Great story can't wait to continue the journey

Chasing Fate is the first book in the Cooper Creek Shifters, a paranormal romance with fated mates and a whole host of different shifters. The story was a pretty typical shifter romance with fated mates, a strong alpha, and an evil shifter alpha. There was a lot of fluffy moments throughout the book along with drama and action, but nothing else that really stood out. I did enjoy the book but I won’t be seeking out the rest of this series any time soon.

The narration by Kenneth Obi was done really well and it made listening to the book enjoyable.
