Summary

Cases for the cold case review team are coming in thick and fast, but they’re coping, and coping well.

With so much going on, Meredith & Hodge have more than enough to deal with. But when a fledgling journalist contacts Meredith, he jumps feet first into a miscarriage of justice. With so many plates spinning, will Meredith become a victim of his own success?

When a personal tragedy looms, Hodge makes a mercy dash, and Meredith is not convinced he has what it takes to cope.

Highly recommended

I've been waiting ages for this one to be released as an audiobook but I guess that's because the narrator, Lee Beddow, is so much in demand. Always a pleasure to listen to him narrating.
Great to catch up with all the usual crew doing what they do best, though one of my favourite characters, Peggy, was noticeably absent. As always there's some brilliant banter within the team. They have several cases to work on at the same time as well as dealing with interference from the top brass.

A fabulous audiobook to listen to and highly recommended to anyone who likes mystery & thrillers with a generous dollop of humour.

I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest, unbiased review.

A little different from previous Meredith and Hodge

I found this book, a little bit different from the usual Meredith and Hodge stories. Having multiple cases was a little difficult to get into as there are a lot of new characters. There was less main character side lines than usual. From the middle onwards, I enjoyed the story a lot more. Meredith’s family storyline was really good and emotional in the middle. The ending has left me excited for the next instalment.
