Compelling intriguing murder mystery adventure

Great follow up to book 1
Thought the story built on book one with good development of the main characters.
Many twists in the story but told very well.
I am now listening to book three!

Loved it
I loved book one' The Engine House' and I loved this one too. The journey from start to finish was pretty wild and totally enjoyable. I felt very sorry for the guilty party though which made me a little sad.

Excellent story.
I LOVED THIS BOOK ALMOST AS MUCH AS THE ENGINE HOUSE. EXCELLENT STORY TELLING ABD NARRATION. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE REST OF THE SERIES.

Excellent cliffhanger
Brilliant storyline and well written. Brilliant cliffhanger that keeps you guessing. Love the cultural aspects of the Welsh language and darkness of the forest set in rural Wales. The characters are interesting and I like the protagonist, which is always a winner.
Great narration and love the range of voices he brings to the story.
Hooked and want to hear more by this author and narrator.

I detected long before the detecive.
I assumed he set up the trap knowing the real killer as I did long before the end .
