Butterflies and Beasts

A story of two men who had to leave their homeland where magic was common place to an area that was not. There’s a bit of a rush to this story but I enjoyed listening to this audio book.

Decent story

I received this book for free at my request but the opinion is of my own. This was an interesting story of two men who had to leave their homeland where magic was common place to an area that was not. There’s a bit of a rush to this story where more details could have helped. I didn’t care for the narrator too much and almost didn’t listen to the whole thing I believe a narrator that made the story more lively would have been better. Still some interesting plot and characters.

Decent enough

Very interesting story of two men that have to travel to a place that is nothing like their homeland, meaning no magic. Personally I felt the story was to rushed and needed more details on several things. While the narrator did a pretty good job, his voice is at a pitch that is annoying to me and I had a really hard time finishing this audio book because of it. The plot and characters were great though but as I said, I felt that a little more detail was in need.

Fantasy Novella

Butterflies and Beasts By Meredith Tucker is a story about a magical friendship that is full of difficult decisions. This is Meredith's Debut Novella. I listened to this book on audio narrated by Sherman Pepper. Sherman does a great job with the multiple characters voices. This story was definitely outside by usual reading genre but I received a free copy of the audiobook from Meredith and wanted to give it a try. I am not sure what age group the book was written for because I got more of a middle grade vibe from it but I am not positive if I am getting that vibe because of the narrator. However, they are cuss words in it so I believe it would fall more in to YA Genre. It was an interesting listen.
