Then there's Michael Alexander, the new guy in school, who is impossibly gorgeous... and captivated by her. Somewhere in the back of her mind, she can hear the sound of pages turning, and another, older story being written. It is the story of an ancient family, of great warriors, of the Sword of Light, and the struggle against an evil so terrible, so far-reaching, that it threatens everything. Airel knew change would be an inevitable part of life.

Story
An ordinary, money-grubbing Merchant struggling to make a coin off penniless, incompetent adventurers is forced to take on the impossible quest of saving his town and rescuing the woman he loves from a treacherous and powerful Wizard. A battle of wit, wits and haggling that is part homage to, part skewer of the richly worked and often overwrought fantasy genre. An artful, satire of dungeon crawls and cRPG's, the Merchant Adventurer is part Princess Bride, part Dungeon Pawn Stars and a rollicking good read.

Decent story
I received this book for free at my request but the opinion is of my own. This was an interesting story of two men who had to leave their homeland where magic was common place to an area that was not. There’s a bit of a rush to this story where more details could have helped. I didn’t care for the narrator too much and almost didn’t listen to the whole thing I believe a narrator that made the story more lively would have been better. Still some interesting plot and characters.

Decent enough
Very interesting story of two men that have to travel to a place that is nothing like their homeland, meaning no magic. Personally I felt the story was to rushed and needed more details on several things. While the narrator did a pretty good job, his voice is at a pitch that is annoying to me and I had a really hard time finishing this audio book because of it. The plot and characters were great though but as I said, I felt that a little more detail was in need.

Fantasy Novella
Butterflies and Beasts By Meredith Tucker is a story about a magical friendship that is full of difficult decisions. This is Meredith's Debut Novella. I listened to this book on audio narrated by Sherman Pepper. Sherman does a great job with the multiple characters voices. This story was definitely outside by usual reading genre but I received a free copy of the audiobook from Meredith and wanted to give it a try. I am not sure what age group the book was written for because I got more of a middle grade vibe from it but I am not positive if I am getting that vibe because of the narrator. However, they are cuss words in it so I believe it would fall more in to YA Genre. It was an interesting listen.
