Summary

Clementine Waterhouse is a perfectly logical witch. She doesn't tumble headlong into love. Rather, she weighs the pros and cons and decides if a relationship is worth pursuing. At least that's always been her modus operandi before. She prefers being the one in charge, always the first to walk away when the time is right. Attraction has never struck her like lightning - until the witch hunter comes to town.

Gavin Rhys hates being a witch hunter, but his family honor is on the line, and he needs to prove he's nothing like his grandfather, a traitor who let everyone down. But things in St. Claire aren't what they seem, and Gavin is distracted from the job immediately by a bewitching brunette with a sexy smile and haunting secrets in her eyes.

Can the bossiest witch in town find a happy ending with the last person she should ever love?

A sweet read with a little bite!

This is almost a quiet contemporary romance but with a dash of magic and intrigue thrown in, the author has managed to make it a little less predictable and a lot more riveting. The coffee clatch crew were definitely my favourites! This book seems like a natural end to this little series but... is there a book 3 perchance?

Paranormal Romantic Comedy!

This is the second book in this series. It feature Clementine Waterhouse. She and her cousin Danica are techno-witches and they have a fix-it shop for appliances big and small. But they are operating under the radar as witches are not known to the mundanes. They also have to watch out for the witch hunters. Unfortunately Danica’s magic had been spiking and flaring lately. And a witch hunter is assigned to their town to seek her out. So their coven sisters are trying to hide and convince him there “is nothing to see here.” Clem volunteers to distract him. But she didn’t count on Gavin Rhys being so attractive and with a British accent. He is tired of never putting down roots. And he is lonely. He doesn’t feel right about his job. Their story is full of angst and attraction. Will Clem be able to convince him to abandon his hunt? Will Gavin finally understand why he has been having doubts? And is it possible for a witch and a witch hunter to have a Happily Ever After? I love the easy to read style of Ann Aguirre. Her characters and world are completely believable. And they worm their way into your heart.

Ava Lucas does a great job narrating. Her skill with voices and accents is amazing.
