Summary

In his New York Times best seller Bonhoeffer, author Eric Metaxas presents the fullest account of Bonhoeffer's heart-wrenching 1939 decision to leave the safe haven of America for Hitler's Germany.

Now abridged and adapted in student-friendly language, Bonhoeffer, Student Edition, tells the story of one of Christianity's most courageous heroes. The student edition will share Bonhoeffer's inspirational testimony with children in a compelling and relatable way. Young listeners will enjoy learning about the fascinating life of the man who had the courage to follow his convictions into Nazi Germany and stand up for others because of his radical faith.

An inspiration of a man

This book tells the story of someone until I'd start listening to this I'd never heard of. He has rapidly become and inspiration in a very well written book, read in a fantastic manner that had me Hooked.

An incredible biography of an incredible person!

A great source of comfort and inspiration! Would recommend. I now would like to listen to another of Eric Metaxas' biographies, or indeed one of Dietrich Bonhoeffer's books!

Life of a devoted Christian prior and during WWll

Not many have the strength of faith that can carry them through the worst of times. Diedrich Bonnhoffer did, unwaveringly so.
It's encouraging to know of such strength. And inspirational.

An excellent yet concise history of a great man

I was really pleased to have learned a little more about A great man, Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Being a student edition it is apparently pared down a bit but it allowed me to finish it during a few shorter trips. Since I am working from home now during this Pandemic I'm driving only an hour or so each week it can be tough to get through many of the longer Audio Books so this was just perfect.

I so admire Dietrich Bonhoeffer and his works, and I am sad that he was taken from us so early and at the hands of such evil people. May his exemple endure for ever.
