Summary

A heart-pounding standalone zombie-horror from best seller RR Haywood

Henrietta Swallow may be a stunning model, but she has ambitions to be a film director. At a film premiere she tries engaging a producer about a new project...before everything goes terribly wrong.

Soon Swallow finds herself on the run amidst the full horror of the Undead. Along with a small band of survivors, and one miserable producer, Swallow must do everything just to stay alive on the blood-soaked streets.

As the Undead get more numerous, can she run, beat and hack her way out of trouble?

From RR Haywood, author of the UK's best-selling zombie-horror series, The Undead, and the international best seller, Extracted.

good short story

great short story, brilliant to see old friends and what happened in the beginning.
Hope we get to see them again, I have a feeling someone should be in Howie group

Dreadful narrator.

Usual type of Haywood story. Takes a bit of time for the story to get going but good once it starts. The narrator is unable to pronounce several words (bizarrely, invalid is one of them. It is meant to describe someone who is ill yet she says that something is not valid!). Also, it sounds very stilted, as if it is a first reading, without a clue of the storyline. Quite strange to see that Rachel Hines actually studied drama!

put off by the title

I was put by the title originally and thought this would be a charactature of a woman based on male fantasy but to be honest if you can get through the first 15 minutes to the zombie part it's good.

Excellent

Just couldn’t believe how enthralled I was, not that I doubted R.R after the rest of the series. Now..... please don’t tell me Henrietta and Benny die! Can we have a little more please?? 😁

Easy bake oven

Great story! but a little hard to hear some of the characters I've come to love with different voices.
The only problem I have with this one is the audio, the first hour sounds like it was performed in a studio then the rest sounds like it was recorded on a phone in a toilet cubicle with the odd insert sounding like it was recorded on a potato in an easy bake oven.

Not a patch on the undead books

too much emphasis on her assets, and the unrealistic relationship between the protagonists, other than running to get away, nothing much happening, listened to it all but would not reccomend if you are a big fan of the undead series, disappointing.

Blooming briliant

A short slice of Undead fiction from a different perspective. It's nice to hear a female voicing a female for a change. it was a great little story that introduces you to some mainstay Undead characters before they appear in the books.
