Summary

Trapped.

What could be a worse feeling than that?

After 18-year-old Sam gets an invitation for a free vacation in the mail, she hops on the opportunity despite her mother's pleas not to go. With the realization that her best friends have all been invited as well, she's sure she made the right choice. Once they board the fancy cruise ship however, things aren't as luxurious as they had seemed.

Passengers start to disappear, and once the ship lands on a deserted island, Sam and her friends are left on their own to figure out why. Faced with a deadly predicament, they have to learn to survive amid a mass of nightmare creatures all out for the taste of her blood. With the help of a handsome yet suspicious island native, Sam must figure out how to get back to the mainland before she's trapped on the island forever.

Can’t wait to listen to the next book!

This is the second audiobook I’ve listened to from Kayla Krantz and I love her writing style. She manages to create really unique stories from genres that are potentially overdone (vampires, witches, werewolves etc) and make them completely her own with compelling characters, storylines and plot twists. I really enjoyed this and can’t wait to see what happens next.

Excellent storyline

I’ve not read/listened to anything like this before. It has a refreshing storyline. With good characters and a fantastic performance from Jessica it’s a winning combination. Can’t wait to see where this storyline is going.

Torn between Lance and Clyde

I have so many mixed feelings on who’s team I’m on, Lance or Clyde. Clyde really aggravated me. But then won me over again. I’m equally torn between the two. This was so interesting and different. At times it seemed to go to an extreme with no build up like it should but at least it didn’t drag. For instance, when Sam snuck off to go on the ship, her Mom would’ve probably caught her before she got too far. Surely she would’ve had the cops chase them down on the water. Or someone’s parents would have caught them idk. I played along. There were other places it seemed too far fetched but barely. After all, it is paranormal stuff. There wasn’t a cliff hanger really but there’s questions left I want answers to. Like what happens next? Lol. Without giving spoilers, what will Sam tell her Mom? How much will she reveal about her “cruise”? What about the friend left on the island alone?

The performance was good. I liked the narrator. I can’t wait to listen to the next one.
