Summary

Blood Day.

The deadly graduation ceremony that dictates who I will become in this world run by vampires and lycans.

There is no escape. Nowhere to run. Obey or die.

My name isn’t relevant. My identity fails to mean a thing. It’s my scores that count. And Master Cedric is hell-bent on failing me.

I bow. I beg. I crawl.
But nothing is good enough for the ancient vampire with cruel dark eyes. He wants me to bleed exclusively for him. Yet that’s not how this society works.

I can’t fail. My life depends on it.
I will fight until my last breath. Even if that means dying on my knees before the vampire god who rules my classroom.

Welcome to the future where the superior bloodlines make the rules.
You’re about to enter the Blood University world, where humans have no rights. No choices. And there are no second chances.
Proceed at your own risk.

Author’s Note: This boxset edition is the complete Blood Day duet. This story was previously published in Kindle Vella.

not bad

I am leaving a review only because if someone like myself likes stronger less doubting females then this is not the book for you. The narration was good and the overall story was interesting. I just got so tired of the constant whining about if she had been lied to, or tricked it got very tedious for me. Overall it gave a different concept of the future and how things could be, there's plenty of steamy moments which I didn't mind and honestly if you have the patience then give it a go .

Takes you inside the Blood University

"I don't want to play anymore"
Lily is a prospect something thousand - she is actually nameless beyond her number. Just another prospect being trained and judged for where/whom they will best serve
That was until Cedric...
Now she's facing a reality that she is far from prepared for
But if he's telling the truth
She's got nothing to lose

"Try not to dream. fantasies don't exist in your world anymore"
The complete duet narration gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the university. How the human "cattle" and "pets" are raised, trained, and dispersed among the vamps and lycans. Yeah, it's as dark as it sounds

"A relationship that transcended time and space and redefined the formalities of a pure existence"
Be prepared to experience the full spectrum of emotions with Lily and Cedric
I was swinging from anger, outrage, and exasperation to hopeful and overheated 😶‍🌫️
I can't count the times I wanted to peak ahead, just to reassure myself, or the number of times I had wished I could reach in and knock some sense into or out of ;() someone
Lily drove me nuts with her constant questioning and at times whining. I had to step back a few times and remind myself of her life experiences and indoctrination

"ask me for anything else and it's yours. But please don't ask me for death"
It would be hard to choose a favorite from this series as I genuinely enjoy all the characters and the running storyline
However, Cedric may just be one of my favorites from this series
He's bored of living the easy way
No real challenges anymore -
The fight is all but wiped from them
Until his Lily

"It would be a beautiful death. And We'd spend forever together in the afterlife."
Things get pretty messed up and Cedric may have placed his trust and Lily's life in the wrong hands

This does deal with some darker themes - human cattle, brainwashing, noncon, blood - lots of blood, etc...
So if that is not your cuppa you may want to pass
For the rest of you
Holy cattle!!

🌻Lily’s dialogue get’s annoying !🌻

This duet really isn’t a prologue to the Blood Alliance series, it actually seems to run parallel. This duet just gives a closer look into the day to day lives of the humans’ lives, in the Blood University.

It also focuses on a forbidden relationship between a vampire and a human student. These characters finally tie into the Blood Alliance series through a connection with those who are scheming to start a revolution.

I enjoyed this series, overall, with the exception of the excessive arguing that Lily does, in her mind. It just goes on and on and on.

This series does add to the experience of the Blood Alliance series, although I think that listening to it during the first few books of the BA series will make this duet make more sense.

Did someone say Dragons????

Take my money!!! Bc omrgosshhh! I thought Ryder was insanely intense but Master Cedric has me wanting to sign up for his class! And to top it off Lexi leaves you with with an even more intense ruler in the form of the Prince that Cedric is joining forces with. And the friendship that the girls have, I want to see more. I also want to know what becomes of Six!

A Pleasant Surprise

This is the second Lexi C. Foss book I’ve read and she did not come to disappoint. Now I love steamy scenes but what makes a steamy book good is the storyline surrounding it. In my opinion this story was very well thought out and detailed. I’ve read countless Vamp & Lycan books but never one with a storyline quite like this one. I can tell she put a lot of thought into this New World Order.
I look forward to the next one, it’s getting juicy.

Pretty good

The storyline had an interesting spin on Human/vampire/lycan relationships. Would be difficult to fathom being in a predicament like this. This author has a wild imagination. The narrators did a fantastic job with the characters. Hope there is more books in this series.
