Summary

What happens when one cynical, genius billionaire meets an equally brilliant language savant who challenges everything he thinks he knows about women and romance?

Maybe my two older brothers had lost their minds over a woman, but that was never going to happen to me. I'd never believed in soul mates, romantic love, or happily ever after. The only thing any woman had ever wanted from me was the Montgomery name and all the billions of dollars and luxuries that came with it.

Those facts had been proven to me over and over again until I met Victoria "Torie" Durand, my best friend's little sister and the one woman who wasn't impressed by my wealth or my name.

Torie might need more than I was capable of giving, but I found it downright impossible to turn away from the haunted look in her eyes.

I was either going to have to let her turn my world upside down or walk away.

Turns out that I'm not that jerk who can turn away from a woman who needs help.

But what's going to happen when she's perfectly capable of standing on her own two feet again and I don't want her to leave?

Loved

I loved the dual narration of Elizabeth Powers and Dexter Collins, perfect for this book

JS Scott has never disappointed me and again has done an amazing job. A wonderful story.

Cooper is the final Montgomery sibling to find love. Him and Torie are made for each other . Copper helps Torie through moving on following her ordeal . She helps him with his own demons. Both have great characters , down to earth and full of life.
I also loved the friendships and family are so strong and shown in this book.

You will laugh and want to cry with them . Beautiful love story.

Sooooo good

Can’t believe this is book 17 absolutely love the series it’s one of the very first ones I read by this writer can’t recommend it enough absolutely love the way these characters develop their relationship and come out of their shells both of them. I love the big family feel with these books as I come from a big family so I absolutely love it when you’ve got a lot of people getting involved messing with your life even if you don’t want them to cannot wait for more looking forward to anything J. S. Scott
I loved the audiobook and highly recommend buying it. Really brings the book to life.

great story!

I'm so glad this book finally came out. Felt like a treat when I purchased it. I had been looking forward to this story and I'm happy to report I wasn't disappointed. I really like the chemistry between the two main characters.

I also really really appreciate Elizabeth Powers's narration. The male narrator has a nice voice, but sometimes he seems to forget he's narrating a really exciting story, LOL! He's got a nice voice , but he didn't always manage to bring the story to life.

Great Read

Billionaire Unnoticed~Cooper: The Billionaire's Obsession (The Billionaire's Obsession #17) was a good read by J.S. Scott. Cooper has never believed in soul mates, romantic love, or happily ever afters. It has always seemed like women only wanted luxuries and money from the Montgomery's. His thought change when he meets Victoria "Torie" Durand, his best friend's little sister. She's the only woman who isn't impressed by his wealth. But Torie may need more than he's capable of giving. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

Repetitive

So I started ready at I think book 2 with the 1st brother’s story. I liked it so I purchased this one & the one before it. I wish I would have stopped at book #2. All three are pretty much the same story with 3 different characters.

All the women from the stories where kidnapped & brutally abused. All the brothers are on hero mode. All the brothers give the women some kind of trinket in remembrance of someone. All the brothers fall head over heels instantly in love with these battered women.

Once you do this kind of story it’s nice to see everything after that switch up a bit. The stories were all well written. The content just needed diversity. I would have loved to see each brother find love completely differently.

On a positive note the narrators for all were great.

Definitely NOT the best in the series

This book was mediocre at best. I liked the Sinclair series. The Montgomery series has only been okay but this book is the worse so far. And some of this was likely due to the male narrator, who was terrible. He was ok for cooper but female voices and all other male voices were distracting they were so bad. I would much have preferred just having Elizabeth powers do the entire book. Yikes

😍😍😍

Once again, J.S. Scott gives us another emotion filled story that completely tugs at your heart strings. You get all the feels, laughs, tears, rawness. A perfect addition to the series. Cooper is loving and overprotective, and I just couldn’t get enough of him. And Torie is full of strength and heart. Dexter Collins & Elizabeth Powers do an amazing job narrating. This will steal your heart

Great

As always Jan does not disappoint in her books. Cooper and Tori is lovely I just love their background story and I love everything about them . The audio took me by surprise with a male narrator which is really different from the previous books but I love that he gave more character and depth to the story. I was drawn in because like Tori I like to travel and to definitely have that experience of a different culture and language background so I was definitely connecting with the characters in this hopefully I find my Cooper one day.I definitely recommend this book well I recommend all of Jan’s book they are just amazing can’t wait for the next one.

Male narrator not the best

Love listening to my favorite stories by Mrs. Scott but this one left me laughing every time the male narrator did his parts think Crush from Nemo when one of the characters he was portraying already had a book out and that narrator did not make him sound like a surfer dude.
If you can get past his narration then I would say go ahead and buy it but if you can’t then don’t. I won’t be able to listen to this one over and over again like I have the others in the series.

Bummer...

I have always looked forward to new books by J.S. Scott, but I was disappointed with this one. The story is okay but I am just over the hostage / kidnapping story line. I was bored with this story, it was very predictable. I am not one to shy away from any style of book, it don't matter if there is sexual assault or any type of violence, I will read/listen to it. Books 15, 16, & 17 have all been centered around the same story line. All I can say is that book 18.... I hope it has a different story line and doesn't include being kidnapped.
I had a hard time rating the performance. Elizabeth Powers is amazing and I love how she tells a story, 5 / 5 for her! This was the first book I listened to that featured Dexter Collins. I didn't enjoy him as a narrator. Maybe it's the story but his voice didn't fit for me, 3/5 for him.

Where Can I Get One?

One burning question blazed through my mind as Cooper and Torie struggled with their attractions to each other. Where can I find a Cooper? It's not the billionaire part I'm after, although it's always fun to dream. It's the essence of that man: his solid nature, loyalty, strength, and protectiveness. Well, if I knew ... but, no.

So, yes. Cooper is undeniably a keeper, although he can't see it in himself. But then Torie feels that way about herself, too. She's scarred, traumatized, and struggling. She can't see why anyone would look twice at her. Isn't that the beauty of romance, though? Finding that one that can see the real you. The one that sees your scars as proud victories, not ugliness or shame. The one that understands you better than anyone, and would move heaven and earth to be with you. Welcome to Cooper and Torie.

When these two damaged, untrusting, desensitized people find each other, everything they think they know about passion just dies a slow and painful death. They are white-hot and intense, beautiful and mesmerizing, brilliant and emboldened. They are perfect together.

If you love a good romance with well-developed characters and an overprotective alpha, here's your sign. This audiobook is fabulous and steamy good fun.

Captivating

How my heart broke for Cooper and Torie. Billionaire unnoticed is a captivating read that has action around every turn. Torie learns to overcome her horrifying experience and Cooper slowly lets his guard down. Never have I seen two people more deserving of love.
