Summary
Spencer
Whose brilliant idea was it to build university housing next to one of Franklin U’s most notorious party frats?
I’m a real student—the kind who actually came to college to learn, not some dumb frat bro who sees Franklin U as a four-year challenge to consume the most booze and throw out the best pick-up line.
Their all-hours lifestyle is driving me crazy. Not to mention, the jerks keep taking my assigned parking spot.
But the worst offender might be Cory Ingram. Sure, he has a smile that could melt a polar ice cap, but no way will I ever be one of his minions. I’m pretty sure I made that clear when I blew my top at him. So I have no idea why he’s suddenly everywhere around me, turning on the charm like I might actually fall for it.
Nope. Not gonna happen.
Cory
From the first day I set foot on Franklin U’s campus, everything has been golden. I have a ton of friends, endless parties to be the life of, and whoever I want in my bed on any given night. Sure, I’m a shameless party boy, but I’m not a jerk. Ask anyone. Seriously.
Even the crotchety old groundskeeper waves and smiles at me when I pass.
Then there’s Spencer Crowe. I’ve never seen a guy’s face get so red over a parking spot. Even when I try to make it right, he proceeds to give me the tongue-lashing of a lifetime—which is about the moment I notice that, in addition to being irrationally irate, he’s also crazy hot.
My friends think I’ve finally met the one person I can’t seduce…
Bet you I can.

Sweet and comforting
All the books I’ve read in the Franklin U series are like comfort food — sweet, familiar, almost cozy in their warmth and lightness. Bet You is no exception. While there is nothing groundbreaking here, this story hits all the right notes and left me grinning just like a certain “hot idiot.” Great narration by Nick Russo giving the two leads such different and unique voices. His voice is like silk. Definitely recommended!

Great characters but major consent issues
I loved the characters and story. Their progression from enemies to lovers felt real and had actual depth. The betrayal reveal and makeup were very emotionally satisfying and major props for using the best internet moment (aka Tom Holland lip sync battle) as part of it.
BUT the non-consensual voyeurism to start was just not ok. I hate when romance stories try to make lack of consent acceptable or even a part of falling in love. major ick to what would otherwise be a 5 star review from me.
Also, this is a little nit picky but given the character's supposed expertise, bettas are AGGRESSIVE fish. Ted would have killed the cories and definitely guppies. also, if Corey knew about fish (which he's supposed to), he would have also been able to instantly tell Ted was a male as female bettas are much smaller and lack the huge flowing fins bettas are known for. it's a little detail but shows the author did no research and that just drives me nuts. if it's worth putting in the story, it's worth giving correct info on.
Nick Russo is one of my favorite narrators and his performance was flawless. He does a great job giving each character a unique voice and filling them with emotion.

Loved It!
Revisited this on audio as soon as it released because I loved Cory and Spencer so much! Nick J. Russo was great bringing their story to my ears!
I really, really enjoyed this! I absolutely loved Cory right from the start. Spencer was a bit prickly at first but of course he grew on me as time went on and Cory got him to let his guard down with him more and more. The writing was great. The banter and dialogue were just on point. It was SAF, scorching hot with some very, very steamy solo and voyeur scenes that burned up my kindle! Their fall into a relationship and love surprised them both, had some complications, and an amazing grand gesture that had me smiling from ear to ear. We got quick glimpses from past Franklin U characters and a look at the next couple to come. Just loving this series!
