Summary

As a MechWarrior of the Draconis Combine, Minobu Tetsuhara was bound by Bushido - a code that demands loyal service - to the devious Warlord Grieg Samsonov. But when Minobu came upon a strange blue-and-gold Archer, Bushido also dictated that he not destroy the honorable but helpless warrior. And so begins the BattleTech Chronicles, books one, two, and three...

Missing

Lots of chapters missing from this audio work which is a shame as all books very good and missing bits round out supporting characters.

Untold

I am a big fan of battered so really looked forested listening to these book only to be disappointed with the result I thought I would get to listen to whole book not an abbreviated version with my ability to read books for much time I have taken to listening to them only to find that I'm getting ridiculous sound effects and only part of the books and you even get description of characters wrong I am really disappointed.

excellent, but obviously missing parts

excellently performed, though, given the already limited availability of battletech novels on audible it would have been nice if this trilogy was the full book, however as it stands this is the abridged version which leaves you wanting more and while not difficult to fill in the blanks, some chapters appear to miss out large parts of story.

overall a good listen, given that there's not much else to choose from, but i would have preferred the full trilogy just like the battletech legends, Grey Death Trilogy.

great

I've just gotten into the battletech miniatures game so this was a great introduction to the universe. My only complaint would be the volume was very low in comparison to other audiobooks I've listened to. There were also sound effects on some chapters (laser fire during combat scenes for example) and I found it difficult to hear what was being said over the effects. Other than that minor complaint it was excellent overall.

pewpewpew!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this performance and especially how the battle soundtrack made it visual for me, in a very real way.

Strange use of sound effects

The 3 books were slightly different, but on teh whole they were quite good, when you get into the characters. I found the sound effects very distracting: the first two books had a sound a bit like a faint siren, which is tricky as I often listen to books in the car and it sounded like emergency vehicles were close by. The third book had a ;lot of noise on weaponry, which drowned out the narrator and it made following the text a bit difficult.
