Summary
What do you do when the source of all your problems is the one thing you don't know how to fix?
With Don't Ask, Don't Tell nothing more than an unpleasant memory, US Army surgeon Sabine Fleischer is ready to move on with her life - if she can just figure out how to move past her PTSD. Fresh from her first deployment since surviving a vehicle attack in Afghanistan, Sabine is finding the things she's tried so hard to push aside aren't as easy to ignore as she'd hoped.
Sabine's girlfriend and ex-commanding officer Rebecca Keane is happily settled into her new job running a trauma department in a civilian hospital. Life with Sabine is everything Rebecca ever wanted. But when Sabine's PTSD reappears worse than before, she's left struggling with her own guilt.
There's no doubt that both Sabine and Rebecca want the same thing. But how do you help the most important person in your life when they don't want to need your help?

Loved the book. The performance of Abby Craden is wonderful and it would deserve an Oscar if this would have been in film industry!!!!

Brutally honest depiction of mental health issues
Following on from the magnificent Ask, Tell, Ask Me Again is both excruciating and delicious. Noyes’s masterful storytelling coupled with Craden’s sensitive, skillful narration continue Rebecca and Sabine’s story after the Incident. Breathtaking.Read it!

A fabulous follow up from book 1.
The story line was very different from the norm, making it feel real. A lot of the issues resonated with me and it was good that the issue of PTSD was taken seriously and not just brushed over in order to produce a romantic novel!

Good
I thought it offered a good and realistic representation of ptsd and the impact it can have on a relationship. It was delivered sensitively and will hopefully educate people

How have I only recently discovered EJ. Noyes?
Ask Me Again is the incredible sequel to Ask, Tell which I would definitely recommend reading first. It is the continuing story of Rebecca and Sabine, and this time told in the first person in alternating chapters from their perspective which I felt made the story even more engaging. I really enjoyed getting to know the delectable Rebecca and learning more about what she was thinking and feeling.
Heartbreaking and and at times a tough read, this is a beautiful story about two people in love, struggling with very challenging issues, namely the fallout of events from the first book. Noyes writes with such skill that as a reader (or listener) I felt every little piece of anguish, despair and passion profoundly. Although well-versed in anxiety and depression, I personally do not have experience of PTSD and can only assume that Noyes’ gut wrenching portrayal of it must be as realistic as it gets - tissues at the ready!
Having finished the book barely an hour ago, I already miss these captivating characters that I’ve become so fond of and can’t wait to read the rest of the series - or more accurately listen to Abby Crayden’s narration, and every time she says darling in Rebecca‘s voice my insides melt.
Thank you EJ Noyes.

Wow! Wow! Wow!
This performance of an excellent book is incredible. I was totally immersed in the story. Abby Craden’s skilful switching of the two main character’s narration for each chapter, conveying their differing perspectives and inner turmoil, was perfectly captured. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Amazing.
