About this listen
Avery Weston is doing fine.
Sure, she’s not doing as fine as her ex - award-winning actress and current television it girl Elise Hayes - but Avery enjoys her work as a federal air marshal and also enjoys almost being over Elise walking out on their relationship 15 months ago. Then Elise is seated next to her on a flight, and the emotional progress Avery thought she’d made is reset in an instant.
Just like their first flight together, this one also has some bumps. But this time they don’t have to make a go around for a safe landing; they just have to deal with an overzealous fan threatening Elise. And when Elise comes begging for a place to stay until the stalker situation is resolved, Avery has to agree it’s the perfect solution to keep Elise safe. After all, nobody knows Elise Hayes used to have a girlfriend.
It’s only for a few weeks, what’s the harm? Except for some tiny issues, like when you’re still kind of in love with your ex and the mutual spark is as strong as ever, it’s easy to fall into familiar habits. Then there’s Elise’s apologies and genuine regret over leaving, which makes it hard for Avery to hold on to past hurts and sends her simmering emotions to a boil.
But love and sparks aren’t always enough. If Avery and Elise can find a way to move past everything that came between them last time, maybe they’ll get a chance to go around and try landing their relationship again.

Nerd
This was my first E.J. Noyes and it won’t be my last. This was brilliant listen, narrated by the wonderful Abby Craden. A book never really hit me this hard until this one, it really related to the nerd in me. As a gamer this book excited me so much. I loved the story and the characters, Avery is me, just with a cooler job., As a huge Fan of the Assassins Creed franchise, I got so excited for all the Assassins Guild mentions. 😅 The realtionship between Avery and Elise (Ellie) was adorable, plus Bennet made it even more so.

Gripping from the start, warm, funny, sexy as hell and intense.
Love the line about the writer of the screen adaptation of ' Alone'. Hilario.

A must read
I’ve read or listened to all of EJ Noyes books, and yet not one of them is alike. The story lines are always completely different (obvs) but it’s not just that. The formula to each romance she writes is always unique and surprising. This book does not disappoint. From chapter one you’re thrown straight into the MCs jobs and lives and it’s a gripping start that makes you want to get to know the characters. It’s funny and romantic and sweet, with awesome supporting characters and a shivers worthy bad guy, and I fell head over heels for Ellie and Avery. They are so sweet and honest and raw with each other *happy sighs* Honestly it’s brilliant and Abby as always did a fabulous job at narrating.

OMG
I got so excited when I seen another book had come out and that it was narrated by Abby again. Best combo. I literally couldn't stop listening to it bringing me 0500 when I've just finished it.
I of course would have loved it to have carried on for longer like I have with all of her books and want more just because they are so great.
Loved the reference to another book which gripped me too.
Another book for me to listen to again and again.

Second chances with drama
Another great read from the brilliant EJ.Noyes. This is a second chance at love story between two very likeable and relatable characters. Elise, the award winning actress and Avery the federal air marshal have a chance meeting on a flight 15 months after Elise walked out and it’s a bumpy ride to find their way back to each other. Throw in to the mix that Elise is being threatened by an overzealous fan and like the fantastic ‘Ask, Tell’ collection this is an exciting and dramatic ride.
Add in the thoroughly enjoyable performance from Abby Craden and what’s not to like? (Oh when Abby says “darling”)

Beautiful second chance story
I enjoyed the dialogue and relationship between the MCs. The thoughtfulness they have for the other and how they understand each other. Abby Craden is perfect. Noyes and Craden are a winning combo. One of my favourites that I've listened to at least 3 times now. Nice to see reference to another Noyes book. Thank you Noyes/Craden for another winner.
