Summary

Five years after Anne Shirley came to the town of Avonlea, she feels (a little) more grown up, but she's still the same skinny, red-headed orphan Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert took in. After putting her dream of attending Redmond College on hold so she can help Marilla with the farm, Anne doubts she has many adventures ahead of her. But even in plain old Avonlea, her life proves to be anything but ordinary. This sequel to Anne of Green Gables follows Anne's endeavors to become a successful teacher, help raise a pair of rambunctious twins, and improve her beloved hometown - with the help of her former enemy, Gilbert Blythe, who's giving her an awful lot of attention.

Enthusiastic commentary!

Enthusiastically read! if some of the character voice choices were a little annoying, they were consistently used

Wonderful to learn more of Anne’s going’s on

A walk down memory lane

I loved this series growing up. I am enjoying listening to the books I loved so much growing up. They are just as enjoyable to me as they were when I was a kid. I am rediscovering things I have forgotten over the years. I love visiting these characters over and over again and I am sure to do so again in the future. I enjoy reading them and I have enjoyed listening to them for the first time as well. It makes me want to pull out the movies again =D Though there are some very big differences between the movies, books, and series on Neftlix they are all enjoyable for what they are. These books will forever be ranked high in my favorites list. I will be reading them with my children in the future as well so we can share all of Anne's adventures together. I really enjoyed listening to the narrator bring these characters to life once again for me. I would recommend the narrator to others. I would highly recommend this book and the rest of the series to others. I love all the imagination that the author put into the pages. I love how she created such a lovely cast of characters and how endearing they will be to my heart forever.

weird voices

The narrator is dramatic which is nice but her voices are cartoonish. I couldn't finish it

Can't Finish It

I'm sure the story is great but I can't get past the awful voices being attempted by the reader.
