Summary

Family secrets and fresh romance collide in this heart-pounding Richter series installment by New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Catherine Bybee.

Jacqueline “Jax” Simon knows how to expose secrets: she’s a skilled operative with MacBain Security and Solutions. When Jax hears her parents are divorcing, she races to London to find out why. She’s determined to learn the truth, especially when her investigation uncovers why her parents sent her to Richter, the German military school that made her a fighter.

Andrew Craig collects Jax at Heathrow Airport as a favor. He’s heard she’s a handful, but he didn’t know she’s dangerously gorgeous too. His instant attraction could change his life...or end it.

Jax doesn’t want to fall for Andrew, but soon he’s worming his way into her life. Together, they infiltrate Richter to discover if it has returned to its covert purpose: training children to be spies and assassins and blackmailing parents to look the other way. As the attraction between the two intensifies, so do the secrets exploding all around them. How deadly are those secrets - and who will survive?

A Brilliant story.

I love this author’s writing style, her stories never fails to keep my interest and this one doesn't disappoint but the narrators did not do anything for the story.
The British accent is terrible and there are times when the same character voice sound different or the male and female voice sounds the same. I regret buying the audio version but I love the story

Enjoyable romantic thriller

Only disappointment was Lori Prince's element of the narration. Her attempts at English accents for the characters were so poor they were distracting.

Good drama and romance

Awful narration when attempting upper class english, would have been better to either use someone who actually speaks Queens English, or dropped the accent altogether.

Great book

Wow another fabulous story in this ongoing series. Full of drama and suspense. I cannot wait to read the next book now. Narration was brilliant too

Interesting and engaging

The narrators and their attempts at accents and language was really bad. Why can’t they just read the story instead of using really bad non existent skills.

The end....or a new generation?

Fabulous end to this series with Jax finding her HEA in England.

However, I sincerely hope that this is just the end...for now.

A rival to Claire and Cooper's story

I didn't think anything could match Claire and Cooper's story but this does. The author is highly skilled at pouring emotion into the plot. The only spoiling feature were those awful English accents!

Why why why?

Sadly like a lot of American books involving English people the English accents want you to wince they are so awful I have had to switch off the story.
