Critic reviews

"Pimsleur programs provide plenty of positive reinforcement that will keep learners on track, and we found that Pimsleur gave us more proficiency and confidence in speaking the new language than any of the other language programs we reviewed." ( AudioFile magazine)

great way to get speaking practice

for a language with few good teaching resources I found this audio book very easy to follow and will continue with the series. I didn't understand how to download the booklet but audible online help quickly guided me through it. great service

Useful...but dull

The Pimsleur technique works.
It does get a little boring at times, but once you push through that you benefit.
With this course I did feel it went a little too fast - Albanian is so different from any other language I know that a slower pace would have been welcomed.
But I just listened to each chapter three or four times before moving on, so it's not a fatal error.

doesn't start with useful phrases for travellers

I found a lot of the phrases spoken very fast so I was unable to get the precise pronunciation of them or even the word. it starts with talking about who you are and where you come from and asking the other person to be slower. it would be much better if they concentrated on phrases you would need when traveling like asking for a hotel room, a table at a restaurant or directions and public transport. I must admit to not getting on at all with this style of learning
