Twelve Radio Mysteries

I don't often like updates of Agatha Christie's work, I prefer them set in their original decades. However this volume has been updated with care and is still a joy to listen to

The psychology works in every decade…

that is why Agatha Christie is unsurpassed in storytelling - brillantly read by a very good cast, I enjoyed every thing

Good, but incomprehensible in places.

A possibility of these plays being over-dramatized has left them difficult to follow at times.

Great 30 minute plays

If you like Agatha Christie then you will like these short plays, performed by some top names with BBC quality. Good way to relax for 30 minutes. Highly recommended.

very well adapted

a lot of care was taken.in terms of updating the stories the cases were a little simple and short some were clever than others but all performed well. lots of characters to like

Classic Christie

I was initially regretting buying this as I realised I had already heard the first story, and found it slightly banal. However, as the plays and stories went on, I found myself quite engrossed. All were well performed and most of the stories good and I found myself thoroughly immersed in Agatha Christie's world. A very enjoyable collection of classic sleuthing tales.

Immersive

I am and always have been an avid Christie fan, i tend to prefer her stories when they wander away from her 2 renowned sleuths.
This collection of AC short stories is a Gem, there are some minor flaws to the overall production but to me they're so minor as not even count towards marking it down, a couple of the stories could almost benefit from a narrator as they pop back and forth a little and from character to character which can be a bit confusing, this is only a production issue, the casting, acting, quality and finished product more than make for any minor quibbles.
All in all this is Christie's almost Tales of the unexpected collection, highly recommended.
