Great start to the series!
I got this audiobook via a promo code and this is my voluntary review.
Cant wait for the next one! In terms of world creation, this book puts a major emphasis on the paranormal. Once the world has been established, the plot is entertaining, and I enjoyed the supporting cast. Nemain, a cat shapeshifter and the main character of our story, is being held captive and tormented by Sebastian, a vampire who has been making her life miserable ever since she broke up with him. Nemain wants nothing more than to exact revenge on Sebastian, a cruel and nasty vampire who has snatched not only her girlfriend Myrna's life but also her freedom.
When Magos locates Nemain and murders the vampires holding her captive to get her to safety where Sebastian won't be able to find her, Nemain's suffering comes to an end. The leaders of the Warlocks are also after Nemain, so she has more issues to worry about when they show an interest in her capacity to open realms.
Nemain must protect her friends and family in this suspenseful tale, but how will she react to the strong Warlocks who would stop at nothing to seize her for their own agendas?
Krys Janae did an amazing job performing this story.

Shift
I loved the narration of Krys Janae, bringing out the action, characters.
This book has everything we could want in a fantasy book; vampires, warlocks, witches, daemons, fae and so many more a badass female character
The characters and story were thoroughly engaging.
