Summary

Thirty-three shorter tales of the Liaden Universe® brought together for the first time in two mega-volumes. Seventeen tales to start with in Volume One!

The nationally bestselling Liaden Universe® novels are treasured by space opera aficionados for their wit, world-building, strong characterizations, tender romance, and edge-of-the-chair action.

Since 1995, Sharon Lee and Steve Miller also created shorter tales, illuminating additional facets of the Liaden experience. Here is a vast tapestry of tales of the scouts, artists, traders, priestesses, sleight of hand magicians, and pilots who fill the Liaden Universe® with the excitement, action, and romance that listeners of the hit series have come to adore.

The accents drive me crazy

The terrible British accents were not used in the beginning of the series and are used here to create a sense of superiority. It was a terrible choice and makes it difficult to listen to. I love good accents. These are not. It would have been better off with a Maine accent, which is familiar to the authors at least.

Great stories

For those of us who love the Liaden space opera stories will appreciate this collection. It definitely not the first book/story set to start with if you are a newcomer to the Liaden universe but if you’re like me and have followed these stories you like the shorts included.

Magnificent, and very well narrated.

These stories are of those in the main Liaden novels and others. Stories of adventure, adversity, and culture.
I appreciate so much that this was made into an audiobook.

Enjoyed hearing them read.

I am a fan of the Liaden Universe. Also a fan of of Kevin T. Collins. So of course I have these books. Getting Kevin T. Collins back to read this series, made me happy. With the writers being so elegant with words, the narrator making the words flow, made these stories are enjoyable experience. That I could listen to more than once. Just not today as I am on to the next audio. Thank you, Sharon Lee, Steve Miller, and Kevin T Collins.

Fantastic- I’m hoping more full books come out about Jethrey Goblin’s world, kin and friends

Just perfect. Loved it. And Kevin Collins did a great job with narration . The only story I’d heard before was about Jethrey Goblin (so?), and I truly loved that book, Balance Of Trade. I’m hoping Ms Lee & Mr Miller will continue on with more of his story, as well as the rest of this vast universe of wonderful characters.
