Ilse Sand is a Denmark-based psychotherapist and pastor. She is the bestselling author of "Highly Sensitive People in an Insensitive World". Her books have been translated into more than 24 languages. Her books are written in an easily-comprehensible language and includes many examples, so anyone with an interest in psychology will benefit from reading them. World famous artists have recommended her books. For example, the Japanese actress Yuriko Ishida and the Korean boyband BTS. Through her work as a pastor, Ilse Sand became interested in helping people on a deeper level, and she became educated in psychotherapy within Gestalt Therapy, Cognitive Therapy and Psycho Dynamic Therapy among others. In 2006 she started her own practice in Jutland. She has through many years been working with psychotherapy, supervision, courses, lectures and counseling highly sensitive people. Ilse Sand has a Master’s Degree in Theology from Aarhus University, where her Master’s thesis was based on the works of Swiss Psychiatrist C.G. Jung and Danish Philosopher Søren Kierkegaard.
