Denise is married to her husband of 26 years, a mother of five, and grandmother of three. She is active in her church fellowship. Denise enjoys the menagerie of animals (goats, chickens, dogs, and cat) on her small farm in Missouri, and writing. In her words: "I started writing because I felt 'led' to with little idea of what I would write about. I am continuing to write because I believe God has called me to do it and I have found that I enjoy it immensely. 2011 and 2012 were difficult years for my family. Writing or reading what I have written has encouraged me in ways I never imagined. I hope that what I write will be encouraging and a blessing to my readers."
