Christopher Edge is an award-winning children's author whose books have been translated into more than twenty languages. He grew up in Manchester, where he spent most of his childhood in the local library dreaming up stories, but now lives in Gloucestershire where he spends most of his time in the local library dreaming up stories. His novel The Infinite Lives of Maisie Day won the STEAM Children's Book Prize and was also nominated for the prestigious CILIP Carnegie Medal, as were his novels The Longest Night of Charlie Noon, The Jamie Drake Equation, and the award-winning The Many Worlds of Albie Bright, which was also selected by the New York Public Library as one of the best children's books of the year. His #1 Amazon bestselling novel, Escape Room, was described by The Bookseller as 'smart, thrilling sci-fi that reads like Black Mirror for a middle-grade audience: punchy and action-packed, with a killer twist' and chosen by The Times as their Children's Book of the Week. Described by The Guardian as 'a writer of genuine originality', his other books include the critically-acclaimed Twelve Minutes to Midnight trilogy of historical mysteries, and he is also the author of How to Write Your Best Story Ever! and How To Be A Young #Writer, inspirational guides to creative writing for children and teenagers.
