Summary

I never claimed to be a good girl, but I definitely never asked for this.

Killian, Tristian, and Rath.

These three men are a part of my past - one that I'd rather never look in the eye again. In high school, they knew my secrets and I knew theirs. They had power and I had nothing. The night everything fell apart, my stepbrother allowed his two best friends to take their rage out on me while he watched. While they laughed.

But what happened that night wasn’t my biggest secret. So I ran, planning on never coming back.

Three years later I’m standing on their doorstep like a stray. They’re more powerful than ever now, having risen to the rank of Lords at Forsyth University. But I’m still on the run and there's another monster chasing me down.

What could bring me back into their lives, their homes, and ultimately, their beds?

Fear.

Shame.

Desperation.

Killian, Rath, and Tristian aren’t the only ones who want me. There’s someone far more dangerous out there who's been stalking me since I left town the first time. Someone who makes the evil I know feel less dangerous than the evil I don’t.

But being their Lady is more than just fancy clothes and reputation.

I might be under their protection, but I’m also at their mercy.

And there's nothing a Lord loves more than taking control.

Warning: This book is a Dark/Bully romance. It contains graphic content of abuse and assault that some listeners may be particularly sensitive to. If you have triggers or are even remotely unsure, please heed the note at the beginning of this book.

enjoyed.

narrators were brilliant. Loved the book in general but found a few scenes same-same and that gets a bit repetitive after a while. little disappointed the other 2 books in the series aren't on audio yet.

Possessive, ruthless and aggressive

Wow.....

I mean WOW!!!

There's nothing better than finding a new kick-ass author, but to find two is almost unheard of. There is a few out there and two in particular i could name, that I love, but this review isn't about them!!

As a first book, with these two authors, I don't think I could have chosen better.

This book is constantly on the go, right from the very first page. Right up to the epilogue I was extremely sure who Ted actually is, but now I'm not so sure!! I want to name the person right now, but I don't want to....I hate being wrong, but if I am, I will state it, when it all finally comes to the end.

My only point is, that as much as I seriously felt for Story at the beginning, as no one deserves that, I found that she was actually starting to get on my nerves!!

She knew exactly what she was signing up for, she damn well signed a contract, allowing them to do as she wished excluding actual sex. Yet, she constantly belly aches and gripes about how hard done by she is. You can't keep screaming victim when you're now officially a participant and signed a contract stating that it's ok for them to do it all and more.

Now the one I love is the house cleaner and cook, Ms Crane 🙈🙈🙉🙉

Trust me this woman would be one of my best friends 😂😂

The "failed abortions," really do get all the attitude and then some from her.

Killian, Tristian and Dimitri really are pieces of work. They're vile, crass and what they do to 16 year old Story is disgusting. However, their "game" is even worse....not that Story is aware. But as far as they're concerned, what she doesn't know won't hurt her....YET.

Now at College they are the Lords of their fraternity, LDZ, and as the undisputed leaders of said fraternity they live in a separate building and can now have their own Lady, who will do everything they say....including "servicing" them whenever they want!!

Then we have Ted. This is the person she is running from and the reason she has turned up on the doorstep, of the three guys, to audition for their Lady.....not that she tells them this.

Anyway that's all I'm going to tell you about it, cos seriously you want this book and you want to read it, as there are so many twists and turns throughout, and there's always a little bit more coming out in every chapter.

Now onto the audio....

Narrating are Bridget Bordeaux and Jake Bordeaux, a husband and wife team.

Although they were ok, what I didn't like was the fact that Jake would shout every time he was narrating the part of Killian. Now don't get me wrong, Killian is one angry and aggressive guy, but angry doesn't always equate to shouting. There are sooo many male narrators who didn't feel the necessity to shout when portraying an angry male!!

His interpretation of how Story would speak was one of the worst attempts of a female voice. Although a shy and quiet girl, I felt her that he went into the complete opposite end of the spectrum for her, making her too timid and it just didn't work for myself.

However, the rest of it was flawless, as was the narration by Bridget. I felt her performance was just what you'd imagine the characters would sound like in your minds eye, so to speak.

So other than those two points, the rest was great. I do feel that the narration was good enough to warrant buying both the book and the audio.

I can't wait to get stuck into the next book....

Watch out for my next review 😉😉

Intense

Storey runs after what Rath , Killian and Tristan do to her . Years later she returns as she’s running from a stalker and can’t see any other way than to become their lady . I’m hoping the 3 aholes will help her when Ted eventually comes for her and they realise she is special to them

Addicted to the Lords

I loved reading this story and listening to it has once again entranced me! The emotions the writers evoke, especially when it comes to the Lords, is exquisite torture. You experience everything that Story does, all the highs and lows and confusing feelings.

The only improvement would be to have made this a duet performance, I found the male narrator's voice when he spoke the female parts a little jarring. But I will definitely be listening to the next book!

Book 1.... It's ok

The story so far is unbelievable, the main female character Storey puts up with way too much BS to warrant her stay with the Lords. I’m sure she’d be better off with her stalker. The story focuses too much on her virginity and repeats quite a bit.

I would like to see some growth in the Lords in book 2 otherwise it’s pointless continuing with the series. The Lords are Prize A..Holes.
Also, Storey is so weak and doesn’t even try to communicate with her mum or anyone else about why is in the predicament she’s in.

The narrators are great and they are keeping the story going. I'm sure if I was to read it, I would have given up by now.
