It was average as far as dark mafia romance goes..
I listened to and read better, it didn't captivate me like others, finishing was more like a chore.. a tick in the box as I hate to not finish. I may listen or read others in the future, but there's to many other good books out there to venture into any more of the series.. maybe later.. maybe.

An enjoyable experience...
A thoroughly enjoyable story, which kept me entertained from start to finish. Great character building and not a predictable storyline.
Great narration, though I'd be interested to hear the difference in adding a female narrator to the mix.

Dark and Delicious
This story is a dark and delicious tale about Dominic and Caroline, he's the son of a Mafia Don whilst she's the daughter of a man who wants to run for the presidency of the US. Dominic has the dirt on her father and in return for his silence, he wants Caroline and not just for a short time.
Obviously, she's devastated by her father's agreement to this she and her father have never been close but she always believed that he would never hurt her. Dominic is a Dominant man who subjects her to punishments just because he can but over time their relationship shifts, love blossoms and the terms of their relationship is forever changed.
The storyline has lots of intrigue, action, drama and betrayal as well as lots of sexy scenes which include spankings so if this offends you then don't listen. The writing style is good, the character development is excellent and the chemistry is hot and palpable.
The narration by Jack Calihan is very well done and certainly added to my enjoyment of this book.

Really interesting
This was a really good story. It wasn’t as dark as some of the mafia type books I have listened to but it was very well written and the characters definitely convinced me to continue can’t wait to jump into the next book

Unexpected
I didn’t see the twist in the story about Caroline not being senators daughter or what he did to his wife..definitely a crook!!

Dark Mafia Romance
His payment is a marvellously written mafia romance, with dark elements. The plot is rich, suspenseful, gripping, and very hot, captivating me from start to end. The characters are fabulous and engaging. The intimate scenes have the dominance and submission components to them. Jack Calihan literally brings it all to life. He is a very talented narrator with the perfect alpha male voice. With his performance, he sucks you in and wholly immerses you in the story. I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook, and highly recommend it.

Not the best
This could have been so much more if more attention paid to the story rather than the bedroom. How many spankings do you need to listen to. Sorry not the best I have listened to.

Dominick & Caroline
Dark mafia romance is one of my favorite genres so I was quite excited when I saw this book. It was pretty hot and kept me on the edge of my seat from the beginning to the end. I'm looking forward to listening to more books in this series. Jack Calihan did a good job bringing this story to life. I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Raw and brutal
This book is fantastic, I really enjoyed the dynamic of this relationship. A strong leading lady who knows what she wants and goes for it. Lots of steamy scenes that Jack brings to life so very well.
