I guessed from the blurb that this probably wasn't going to be easy listening but at only a few chapters in, I wasnt expecting the amount of detail of the ordeals faced by these captives. it is harrowing at times but the book wouldn't be as good if it wasn't. the book is well written and well thought out and shows the true meaning of resilience. the narration was excellent and did the book justice by portraying every emotion perfectly.

This book was dark but just so satisfying the way it was written & I got really scared for myself reading some parts that I had to wince and brace myself, but boy, was it worth it. I sighed with relief when the twists happened . this author is just talented. the narrators were just perfect 👌🏾 . really, job well done .I loved Liv she is just the best heroine ever for me . I love her so much & Josh was amazing too, a strong hero whose character developed beautifully and I just was rooting for these two. the spice was an added bonus 🔥Well recommended.

This is an amazingly intense, edge of your seat read, and it has been brought gloriously to audio life by Teddy Hamilton and Abby Craden. Liv and Josh's story is often really hard to take in, but it is also such a strong love story, on many different levels. This is one of my top 10 reads and listens, a list which includes other Pam Godwin titles. 💖💖💖💖💖

Read the blurb, enjoyed the narrators before, story said "Dark Romance" so I thought I'd give it a go. This book is more like Torture For Dummies. It is the bleakest harrowing tale. Had I wanted to read such a horror-show, I would've found something in non fiction.

As anyone whose watched the movie Deliverance will know, it changes you forever, and not for the better. This book did the same. I wish I hadn't selected it. I had to stop. I couldn't get past 5 hrs. Gave me nightmares. HARROWING
