Pam Godwin is one of my absolute favorite authors.
She spins me into darkness and pain but somehow manages to show me beauty in the darkest corners, and everlasting love for the most damaged characters win in the end.
Her characters are never just good or evil, they come in multiples of grey, they always have deep flaws and deep damage but the capability to be better.

We all know real life love stories between adult teacher and mistreated student teenager is unethical - but this is fantasy ...

And, it is in essence a rather sweet lovestory with a happy ending.

The narration is very good.

Difficult but rewarding

Enjoyed the story but the male narrator didn't quite fit for me. Also don't like when they voice all characters in a chapter by the one person, doesn't make sense when there's a female narrator who could do their parts.

A little slow in the beginning, but so worth the slow burn. Yes, its dark and forbidden, but thats part of the trill. Loved it

Oh how I loved this book.
It was taboo, spicy. A great little uncomplicated storyline. It has growth (And not just the personal kind of you catch my drift. ;))
I loved listening to it and he impressed in this, dirty, passionate story.
I swooned, I smiled and I sighed my way through this.
I don’t feel there was a part of it that I didn’t like.
Sometimes after all the tough, emotionally charged romanstasy books, I need waltzing just like this to read. Something to smile and swain for, and this book definitely hit the nail on the head.

I read this book in 2016 and gave it a five star review on goodreads. Having only just started listening to audible I decided to listen to Darknotes and wow, listening to this book bought the characters to life in a way I could not do justice when I read it myself. Great narration and I loved Emeric’s voice.

Great read. Has everything you want from a romance, including surprising bits to keep you hooked. The main characters are fab. Also love the ‘romance’ scenes.
