Summary
The world will burn in the final installment of Scarlett St. Clair's bestselling Hades X Persephone saga.
The gods are at war, the Titans have been released, and Hades and Persephone must fight tooth and nail for their happy ending.
Persephone, Goddess of Spring, never guessed that a chance encounter with Hades, God of the Underworld, would change her life forever—but he did. Now embroiled in a fight for humanity and battles between the gods, Persephone and Hades have entered a world they never thought they would see. To end the chaos, Persephone must draw upon her darkness and embrace who she's become—goddess, wife, queen of the Underworld.
Once, Persephone made bargains to save those she loves. Now, she will go to war for them.

New VA ruined it for me...
I've loved Meg Sylvan's narration throughout all these books. She's so good at both male and female voices and is able to create a real difference between each character. I adored her version of Hecate, who's calm cadence and tonation is a huge part of her personality to me. Whilst I understand that using Tyler Donne was all because of his involvement in the Hades POV, but his voice is the reason I won't listen to that book at all. His male voices are okay, but his female voices are all the same. They're whiney and breathy and have absolutely no depth of character at all. Persephone goes from being a strong and complicated person in Meg's version to childish and irritating in Tyler's version. His voices are better than his general narration, I'll give him that, but his general narration is just so monotone and robotic that it's been a real struggle to get through. Not to mention that because there are lots of other male POVs in this one, Tyler gets way too much air time.
It's a real shame and I think there will be so many others who feel the same - others who have enjoyed this series immensely, only for it to be changed for the final installment and basically ruined. Scarlett St Clair is a fantastic author, but I hope she thinks about this in the future because a good VA can make or break an audiobook, and in this case, consider it broken.
The story and the series are 10/10 for me, but the new VA has been a total let down.

Make it a movie
I think everyone that started listening to this series got bored by the spicy scenes but end of book 2 and stayed on for the story. Such an amazing crafted story. Please, please make it into a movie!

made me feel like I don't belong in this realm, I just want to be with hades and persephone at this point. a really amazing ending for this series. imma have to reread the whole series again or listen to all of them here. thank you for making me feel emotions that I thought I would never feel again.

Perfect ending
Loved that it nicely summarised the over 4 books and brought it all together. Didn’t like that hades and Persephone spent so much time apart this book but once they were back together ultimate power couple! Hope there is a spin off with Dionysus loved his character.

Awful male narration
Meg sylvan smashed it like always, I did find Hecate ever so slightly ‘off’ can’t put my finger on it but Hermes had me in stitches. I could not cope with Tyler Donne’s chapters and unfortunately he narrates a fair few, I found his emotional range comparable to a tea spoon, honestly just horrible, he made all the women sound the same, high pitched and whiney. As much as I’ve loved this series, I feel like the choice of male narrator spoiled the last book for me, wish I’d just read it instead. Overall, a nice ending to the series

why the new narrator?
the original female narrator makes me feel so many emotions from her performance and I can tell the difference between characters speaking as well as the becoming more connected to the characters however the nee narrator is bland. he shows no real emotion and doesn't seem to connect to hades or convey any love or passion for persephone which has honestly in my eyes ruined the series. I'm only up to chapter 7 but I find the new male narrator cringy and uncomfortable. I've grown to like and admire the characters from the storyline and the reactions to events but that slipped as soon as I heard the new narrators monotone voice.
