Ten years has passed since an infectious virus nearly consumed all of mankind. Millions died, millions more became infected, changed, and turned into mindless, feral hunters bent on the consumption of living flesh. Sanctuary is safe and secure with its strict policies, offering a life anyone on the outside of its walls would kill to have; the world has only grown crueler and more dangerous through the years. The cure was a farce, and even if it hadn't been, the technology and resources have long since been depleted in the crumbling world of man.
