Twice Bitten

All I wanted to do was go to a bar and drown my sorrows in some alcohol, but I had to get attacked by an incubus. Now, I'm being guarded by a hunky but oh-so-irritating vampire (who bit me, too) while the incubus stalks me. Being guarded by the sexy vampire probably wouldn't be that bad if not for the fact that my perfect boss has finally noticed me.

When Danni was younger she thought being a vampire could be kind of fun. You stay young forever, live in a castle, and play by your own rules. Then, she was turned into one, and while the eternally young part is true, there's no castle. Danni knows it's for her own good and all, since bad guys are always trying to kill her, the sun burns like hell, she still can't eat human food without becoming gravely ill, and she's not exactly your run-of-the-mill vampire, but a hybrid with all kinds of extra issues, but still. Is it too much to ask for a girl to have a cupcake?

Sure, Danni's sister is spoiled rotten and self-centered, but she couldn't let her die after she stumbled into an ambush meant for Danni and her hunky sire. To save her, Rider had to turn her...and he's not too happy about it.

It's been rough adapting to her new lifestyle, but Danni's gotten used to the fangs and venom, and found strength within to overpower her worst enemy: her own self-doubt. Now she's on her first official job as a member of Rider's security firm. Assigned as security at Gruff's Bar and Grille in Moonlight, West Virginia, Danni is bored to tears until a man stumbles in, missing a few important body parts.

Eliza's missing, and Danni doesn't think things are as simple as everyone else seems to believe, so even though Rider sent her to Pigeon Forge to hang out with the local wolf pack and relax…she can't get her mind off of her missing friend or the feeling in her gut telling her to check out Lovefest.

Danni and friends are back and ready to take on an evil entity snatching more than Christmas joy.
