Cygnus Loop is the soundtrack to an imaginary planetarium show. Told in compact episodes and bathed in synthesizer music reminiscent of 1970s-era space programming, what begins as an astronomy lecture gradually devolves into a curious autopsy of theoretical math, confirmation bias, biological tendencies, and humankind’s search for meaning. As the scale of measurement expands, a story emerges of isolation and chance encounters.

Set in the 1980s in the rural community of Bidarkee Bay, Alaska, Wander is the story of Patrice “Pete” Nash, a young broadcast reporter who finds herself facing the winter alone after her husband, Nate, accepts a job on “the slope". As Pete pursues the next big breaking news story, she strikes up a friendship with the new guy in town, the Ivy League-educated Ren, who recites poetry and lives in the family-owned, vacant inn. Their friendship offers a glimpse of a different kind of life. But unbeknown to Pete, Ren has come to Alaska for his own dark reason.

Reese is brutalized and almost killed at the hands of gang members belonging to the demon Durin. Three lesser demons save her and sort of nurse her back to health. Reese is infused with all three demons’ blood, making her not human, but not demon, either. The three demons die during the ritual to slave bind her to them, and she wakes up with gaps in her memory. She knows one name, Durin, and the powerful hatred that comes with it. Reese must eradicate Durin’s grip on the city. That’s all she knows.
