Bowen Penhallow has always been a loner, studying dark and ancient magic on a mountaintop in Wales. When his friend Colin - who happens to be a ghost - asks him to attend a wedding at a grand estate deep in the Welsh countryside, Bowen reluctantly agrees. As a procurer and seller of magical items, Tamsyn Bligh's business is not always above board, but she's been trying to fix that (mostly.) Gwyn Jones is perfectly happy with her life in Graves Glen. She's formed a powerful new coven with her family; she's running a successful witchcraft shop and she's mentoring some of the younger witches in town. There's only one problem—Llewellyn 'Wells' Penhallow. Wells has come to Graves Glen to re-establish his family's connection to the town and to make a new life for himself. But when he opens a magic shop just across the street from Gwyn's, he quickly learns that going up against her won't be as easy as he thought...especially after an accidentally magic-inspired kiss.

Vivienne Jones handled the biggest break-up of her life the way that any witch would: vodka, bubble baths and a curse on her ex. That was nine years ago. Now Rhys Penhallow, descendant of the town's founders, breaker of hearts and still irritatingly gorgeous, is back. Rhys has returned to the quaint town of Graves Glen to recharge the ley lines and make an appearance at the annual fall festival. But when his every move results in calamity, Vivi realises that hexing her ex might not have been so harmless after all.

Med Halloween på vej har hun kun én sten i skoen: Llewellyn ”Wells” Penhallow. Wells er flyttet til byen for at begynde på en frisk og for at åbne en butik. Han finder dog hurtigt ud af, at Gwen ikke mener, at byen er stor nok til dem begge.
