About this listen
As seen in the USA Today best-selling box set, Empires of Shadow and Ash, comes Zombie Infestation.
Serena Rouge lives a double life. Writer, according to IRS. Trouble, according to the FBI.
Kick-ass, rough, and yet she can't hide her vulnerable side when it comes to her kids. When the enemy threatens her kids if she doesn't do exactly as they want, things go from bad to worse in a hurry.
A secret branch hiding behind the military is about to release the zombie virus as a vaccination to the whole world. It's up to Serena to shut down the operation with the help of FBI agent Joseph...preferably without him becoming a zombie. But others in the FBI don't want their mission to succeed. Without knowing whom they can trust, Serena and Joseph have to shut down the factory, without becomeing zombie fodder.
But how can they when the zombies take orders from a psychopath with an agenda?

can I have another please?
first my complaints.
this reads a lot like a Young Adult book, yet our Main Character is a mother of two making her harder for the core audience to connect with.
the MC is overly competent to the point of outshining experts in their own field and the explanations are flimsy at best if they are there at all
now holy hell y'all this is amazing, was so entertained from start to finish.
fun characters, great plot and an interesting plot.
Anneliese is born to voice this book and it's that simple, holy hell!!

Interesting and entertaining read
I enjoyed this book, I liked the premise an interesting take on the zombie virus, thie characters were interesting, I liked the FMC Serena, a harried single mother that just took everything in step, except when her kids are in danger. The plot had plenty of twists and turns, and was action packed, and had me hooked from the beginning, I hope there is going to be a book 2. Anneliese Rennie's narration perfectly portrayed the characters with her narration. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

Don't listen in front of the kids
The storyline was OK and the performance was good but there was far too much swearing for my taste. I don't mind some when it's called for but this was excessive and unnecessary and did spoil it for me.

Good listen
this book was an enjoyable listen. It is a zombie book, but not of the traditional kind. The way in which the narrator delivered the book was annoying at times. overly glib and exaggerated.
