For Kyle Puckett, Earth has become a savage place. As the world continues to decay, the survivors of the viral plague have started choosing sides. Excellent listen

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

This is the first book and I have listened to in this series and as it was book 3, I wasn’t sure if I would be able to connect with the storyline or characters. However, it is such a well written storyline, I did not experience this issue,

The narration was excellent and really helped me get into the book.

The book is about a few groups during a zombie apocalypse and how they are linked and seem to be destined to come crashing together.

I enjoyed listening to this book so much that I will buy books 1 & 2.

walking dead vibes

I preferred this so much more to The Gathering Horde and Roads Less Travelled (Books 1 and 2). There is a different narrator for this book compared to the other two, and it's definitely a lot easier to listen to than the previous; because I felt like I could listen to this for longer periods of time before I needed a break, and never found myself getting annoyed or distracted with this narrator.

It felt like there were so many more characters this time around, but I was used to who was with who and the characters are all distinct from each other and have their own voice. I had to make sure I concentrated harder at points because having a D-Day and a D-J has the potential to get confusing when you're not reading from a page, but that was fine.

As we find more about the Zombies (sorry, Zed's) we find that they all fit into different categories, the runners, the walkers and the crawlers, and to look out for who you are up against made for good strategy plots. But it isn't just Zed's to fear now, supplies are running low and there is violence breaking out between groups of people, not just towards the Zed's. It gives off The Walking Dead vibes for sure, I find myself picturing Negan a lot whilst I listen to this.

This book ended on a cliff hanger and I haven't yet decided whether or not to continue the series. I definitely feel as though they have gotten better as they have gone along, so we shall see when the time comes, but as they keep getting better and I am now invested, maybe I will be convinced.

Note: this book is called book #3 on Audible, however; is listed as #2 on GoodReads.

3.5 Zed's from me!

Good book, not a fan of the new performer

The book and story is fine and enjoyable. My only issue is:
The new performer completely changed the way the characters and story flowed for me. He made the main character (plus the rest) seem more 'happy' and less seasoned. Perhaps a bad way of explaining it. The performer simply rushes words so fast and high pitched that I am sure they are misinterpreting the context of the words. I have had to slow the speech down to 0.90x just to try make it sound better.

This was a really intense instalment, I was on the edge of my seat throughout the book, I just hope Danielle gets poetic justice! I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

brilliant Zombie Adventure

I really enjoyed listening to the first two books in the series and I had high hopes for book 3, I was not disappointed at all! In fact, this book was even better that the first two. I really enjoyed the continuing adventures of the likable main characters and I really struggled to break off from the story and virtually binge listened to the end. This is a very well written and very exciting story which was enhanced by the excellent narration of Andrew B Wehrien.
I was luckily given this book to read in exchange for an unbiased and objective review

Infuriatingly stupid

From a character using her recently dead mother's corpse as a weapon in previous books to everyone involved being highly skilled marksmen within days is just ridiculous, no development of characters and the whole Jamba juice is easier to say than zombie juice is pathetic
