Summary

Fifteen years ago, Prince Graham of Ardglass barely escaped from the ancestral castle with his young life. Rescued by a magical creature and spirited off to a faraway valley, he grew into a strong, capable man - never shirking his duties on the farm, but forever bitter over his father’s betrayal. But just when he has finally come to terms with being lost and staying lost, a visitor arrives in his valley and changes everything.

After a lifetime spent lost in his beloved books, Prince Emory awakens to find his villainous aunt working to usurp the throne of Fontaine. When she sends him on a dangerous quest, he’s certain the journey is a trap, but he’s not willing to accept defeat without a fight.

But a fight is something Rory is unprepared and untrained for, until he’s saved by a handsome, unassuming farmhand and his snooty, smug, and surprisingly talkative unicorn.

Yours, Forever After now includes a bonus novella, completing Gray and Rory's magical quest for true love.

Enjoyabel fairy tale

Yours, Forever After, is my first book by Beth Bolden. I enjoyed this adorable fairy tale because who doesn't love talking unicorns? This idea was totally cute and along with a lost prince and a prince who is betrayed by his relatives, it makes for a wonderful story. The fairy tale is entertaining because there is a lot of action, suspense and magic. But you can also laugh in between.
I found the two main characters very likeable and I also liked the unicorn, even if it was a bit difficult to like it in between. The two princes Rory and Gray fit together really well, even if it sometimes seems as if they are very opposite. The author has created a wonderful romance with a true love and together they fight against the villain of this fairy tale. I was well entertained by this entertaining story.

Brennan Rossi was also new to me, but I really liked his performance. I think he has a pleasant voice and he voiced the characters differently, which is why I could easily tell them apart.

A wonderful fairytale!

Two years ago, I read the most amazing fairytale written by Beth Bolden. The plot was captivating and unique keeping me at the end of my seat the whole time, Emory and Graham are a sweet couple, that had to fight for the opportunity to be together by overcoming the evil threatening their future and finding their own happily ever after all with the help of a snarky unicorn as every decent fairytale needs to have. Loving so much the ebook, it was wonderful to discover the book was made into an audiobook. Brennan Rossi made an amazing job in narrating the story with a very beautiful voice, great acting skills and and agile reading. A perfect way to read and reread this lovely story. Simply wonderful!

Great story shame about the narration

This was an interesting and entertaining story that I nearly gave up on because the narrator was amateurish and just plain awful. I particularly enjoyed listening to them breathing at the end of one chapter. The accents were weird and the inflection was poor.
Do yourself a favour and read the book yourself. The story is great and the characters really are likeable. Just better without the taint of the narrator.
I didn’t want to give performance any stars but apparently I have too. It’s the only reason it got one. I’d doesn’t deserve it.

Enjoyable fairy tale adventure!

Such an intriguing, interesting, and very entertaining jaunt into fairy tale kingdoms & legends, sorceresses & talking unicorns! The romance aspect was well done & well-incorporated, they really had to work for it, and work together; they finally get their HEA & secrets are all revealed. Loved the story flow & character development, comic foils, it all worked beautifully & kept the reader enthralled.
Brennan Rossi (new to me narrator) did a great job with the character voicings, story pacing, emoting/acting, and has a pleasing voice to listen to for hours. There is always room for improvement, in "conversing" the story, rather than "reading" it - which did get better as the book progressed - as well as technical/production quality issues that crept in occasionally. Overall, very entertaining, loved the accents/character voices; they were consistent throughout & very distinct from each other. Keep up the good work! I will definitely listen to more from both author and narrator.

Magic & a wonderful feel-good, adventure!

I enjoy the world Beth created and the mystery throughout was great. I loved the world where bi was a given and attraction had no shame. I loved Gray and Rory! Opposites in so many ways but matched so well.

I love the approach to the villain and how she was connected to both Gray and Rory. Her villainous knew no bounds but I did feel her demise was a little anticlimactic for such a pivotal role in the story. I'm very glad we didn't have to experience any near loss like with many fairy tales.

I must say, while I love the "old English/fairytale style" of writing, I did find the whole story (but mainly the first few chapters) rather difficult to read with my dyslexia. With the "old-your" style, the sentence flow was more difficult to follow but I am so glad I persevered as I fell in love with Gray along the way.

A great adventure, with slow-burn, angst, romance, humor, and good old fairytale hope and magic! I'm so glad we'll get more of Gray, Rory, and Evrard soon!!!

A thrilling magical adventure and sweet romance

I adored Gray and Rory's magical journey the first time I read it, and listening to the audio was a real treat! Brennan did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life, and I really loved the way he narrated their story.

Gray and Rory were characters I easily connected with, and it didn't take long for me to be invested in their romance. Gray's reserved, grumpy attitude was understandable given the way he was forced to grow up, but it still made me sad to see how he tried to push everyone away. Watching him warm up to Rory was really sweet, and I loved how Rory never gave up on him. Their relationship progressed slowly, over shared meals and long stretches of time alone, but it was still exciting to see the two of them grow closer as their adventure continued. Theirs wasn't the most explosive, passionate romance, but the softer, sweeter pace felt fitting for the men they were. In addition to the slow build of their affections, Rory and Gray had a really exciting quest to embark on. I was eager to see how they would manage to defeat Sabrina after all she'd done to their kingdoms, and despite all my guesses I still didn't get it right. I was thrilled to see Rory and Gray emerge victorious, but beyond that I loved getting to see the two of them tackle the last of their relationship issues and feel secure in their future together.

A beautiful, epic tale of love and magic!

Two princes, each lost in their own way, find their way to their future and love.
I loved how Rory, though naïve at times, finds the strength t fight for his rightful place on the throne. And the way Gray, finds his way back into the real world and away from the valley where he had hidden himself for years.
Together they fight evil magical creatures and even more evil relatives.

A story As Old Of Time.

MM, Fantasy, Paranormal, Adventure, Romance. Two Prince's from neighbouring Kingdoms fated to meet and join forces against the Evil that has affected both of their lives for so many years. Prince Graham of Ardglass has remained hidden for his own safety for 15 years and the young Prince Emory, heir to the throne of Fontaine has innocently been kept unaware of what is going on around him but now the time has come for them to fight for themselves and their Kingdoms. Fantastic story that has twists and turns throughout and held me captive for over 12 hours!. Action and adventure with some magic and mystery, I cannot fault this story, brilliantly written with a guaranteed HEA. This would of been a multiple 5 star review however ATM there are some narration and editing issues that need to be sorted out. I have been in touch with the author and she is contacting the narrator for these issues to be corrected. This is a 5 star story and I loved it and I look forward to listening to it again in the near future.

Fantastic fantasy and characters, great accents

Performance:
Clear
Distinguishable voices and accents
Consistent and nicely paced
Pleasant voice

Story:
No/low Relationship angst
Sweet Guys
Grump/Sunshine
Hurt/Comfort
Forced Proximity
Prince + Prince in Hiding
Dual Third Person POV

CWs- death of parents, mild violence

I can easily say I enjoyed this performance, even if it was not perfect. The character voices were distinct and likeable, the emotion was there when needed, and the accents were great (to my little American ears). The book is in third person POV so the narration bit did sound a little like getting read to at times, but not bland enough to remove me from the story. However, I imagine it is difficult to move between voices and accents without some concentration, so I don't hold this against the narrator at all.
***In fact, there is a TON of improvement between this book and the next. I listened to them back-to-back and it's obvious the performer has grown a lot between then and now. I enjoyed this book but wow am I blown away by the next. I'm already relistening to it :)

I love low angst, sweet books with adventure so this story ticks a lot of my boxes. Magic, quest, nice guys, some steamy moments, some swoony moments, character growth and a lot of world building that unfolds with the story. I also love Evrard and found myself getting all nostalgic over the "father-type" role he embodied. Grey is a total grump but he's a total softie at his core and Rory is a sweet academic who only needs to be rescued because he's not prepared for these things, not because he's some damsel in distress. Two very different men raised in two different environments who complement one another in so many different ways.

Just a really well done story brought to life by the narration. I absolutely recommend it.

Loved it

I had the pleasure of listening to this book with the audible narration. In this MM fairytale, a prince in hiding lives alone on a farm in a hidden, magical valley. Having been chased out of his own kingdom by an evil, blood thirsty sorceress who can turn herself into a chimera, Prince Graham, who goes by the name of Gray, has been living as a farmer for the past 15 years.

Meanwhile in a neighboring kingdom, Prince Emory was busy studying languages and pursuing scholarly knowledge, while his aunt Sabrina rules as regent. She sends him off on a futile quest, which leads him to the very valley where Gray lived.

Gray ends up rescuing Emory and they go on another quest, but this time, it was a fruitful mission. They travel to obtain a magical ring that would be strategic in their endeavors to vanquish the evil woman who not only killed Emory's parents, but who was after Graham's royal blood.

I loved this story. It had adventure, magic, and intrigue. As for the romance, it was slow burn, blossoming love, steamy, but not raunchy. If you like these types of stories, you will like this one.

As far as the audio, I enjoyed the narrator's voice. His accents were pretty good and he read the story very well.

A fun romantic fantasy - by Shana W

I thoroughly enjoyed this story, in both the ebook and audiobook forms. Gray and Rory complement each other so nicely, and I really enjoyed the mysterious unicorn Evrard and his interactions with the other characters. While the ending is predictable, the things that happen on the way through the story are occasionally fresh and often funny. In the audiobook form, I at first found it difficult to get into Brennan Rossi's narration, as he didn't use much inflection to start with, but by the end I was enjoying his reading very much. I recommend both the ebook and the audiobook.

Fun!

With the audiobook Yours, Forever After, author, Beth Bolden, does a great job writing a compelling romance between a young Prince and a man helping him along the way.

I loved the fantasy in this audiobook. There was a sarcastic unicorn that made me laugh. This audiobook story was like a movie; this book was a remarkable tale with heroes and villains, great adventures, and a slow-burn romance. The audiobook narrator did a great job! Love this story!!

I love this story! Rory and Gray's story checks lots of boxes for me- magical creatures, a quest, and ultimately the HEA. I like seeing these men figure out how to make a relationship work for them, and I love the found family they acquire on the way. I'm excited about the next book and can't wait to start it!

Just okay

Beth Bolden takes us on a bit of a wild, if not lengthy, magical ride. Gray and Rory were a lovely grumpy/sunshine slow burn pairing. The audiobook was entertaining and well narrated but the story does seem to drag in the middle. Unfortunately not even the quite funny brash Evrard can convince me to give this more than a solid 3 stars for the story. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this audiobook.

Great audiobook

I read this book first so it was interesting to hear it in audible for I was really surprised at some of the voices they were a lot deeper and gruffer than I had expected lol this story is a really great adventure there’s a long journey that builds the trust and love of Rory and grey and I enjoyed it immensely though there were some parts I wished things would move faster and were a bit more formally spoken than I’m used to though I suppose that’s to be expected in a past times book it was still easy to read and listen to

Exciting Adventure Romance!

Brennan is a new narrator for me, and I enjoyed how genuinely into the story he was! He did fun voices for each of the characters, especially Evrard our snobby unicorn! Gray keeps Rory at a distance at first as he has been living alone for so long and does not trust anyone. As they head out on their journey, they each prove that they are loyal and trustworthy and grow close. I appreciated that the romance was more a slow burn as that was realistic given their circumstances and the danger and magic all around! This was a very enchanting listen, and I cannot wait for Evrard's story!

Enjoyable high fantasy

I really enjoyed this high fantasy, slow burn romance. Two princes, one lost and one naive, are destined to be together. With the help of a unicorn king, Gray and Rory go on an epic journey to regain their thrones and finally put a stop to an evil sorceress's plans. I liked the pacing of the story. Gray and Rory had to go on a journey of selfdiscovery as well as finding love with each other. Full of adventure, magic, feelings, and a sprinkle of humor. Brennan Rossi is a new to me narrator. He did a great job voicing the characters. Each voice was distinct and fit well with their character's description.
