Summary
When the four partners of a prominent law firm are killed in a mysterious plane crash, their widows must come together to uncover the truth in this explosive, edge-of-your-seat novel.
It’s 1985 in Providence, Rhode Island, and the four partners of a prominent, mafia-affiliated law firm have been killed in a private jet that went down outside New York City. Four very different women have just lost the loves of their lives: Justine, a former fashion model adjusting to suburban life; Camille, a beautiful, young second wife some suspect is a gold digger; Krystle, committed to leaving the firm to her sons after her husband worked his whole life to support them all; and Meredith, a stripper at the local club who was in a secret relationship with the firm’s sole female partner. While the crash is initially ruled a tragic accident, something’s not adding up: The team wasn’t supposed to be in New York that day, and it’s soon revealed that there was a very large sum of cash that burned up with the plane. The women find themselves thrown together in search of the truth, with new danger and threats unfolding at every turn.
Could a dissatisfied client be seeking revenge? Or were the partners involved in something bigger—something dangerous and deadly? What other secrets were the partners keeping, and how far might people go to ensure they stay hidden? The widows must find the answers in order to protect their inheritance, their families, and their lives.

Young rich widows
Actually enjoyed listening to the book. Was intrigued by the storyline and the challenges that the women went through. The narrations were easy to follow and was always wondering what's next. Would recommend the book for a leisurely read.

Interesting story idea but not executed well. Give it a miss!
I managed to get half way through this but had to finally admit defeat. It was such a boring listen. Takes a lot for me to give up on a book but this has nothing to hold my interest. The premise of the story is good, I liked all the female characters and narrators, but boy, did it drag. There is still four hours to go and it seems to have concluded already!! I’m happy to leave it, my enthusiasm has dissolved! Not interested in finding out what happens in the end! I can’t waste any more time
listening to this one. Thank goodness it was a book included in my membership.

Hands Down One of the Most Entertaining Thrillers Ever
WHOA!! Now this is what I’m talking about. Four fantastic authors. Four phenomenal widows. One entertaining thriller about plane crashes and the mob.
The book is about 4 lawyers who die in a plane crash, leaving behind their widows to find out what happened and why their plane realllllllyyyy crashed.
I don’t want to give too much away, but just know…it has to do with the lawyers getting their hands too deep in the dealings of some wacky, vicious mobsters.
This was such a fun ride, with chapters alternating POVs of each widow. The story is linear, so there isn’t any jumping around. These authors really knew what they were doing. Each POV, albeit written by a different author, ran smoothly with both the previous and next chapters. I was worried about plot holes happening, but there was NO plot holes. Everything was pieced together so well…which…in my opinion, would be more challenging to do with four authors! The editor(s) of this book did a phenomenal job with continuity and balancing all four voices.
One of the best things about this book is that you can tell which author wrote which POV, just by their writing style. I figured out which POV belonged to who after the fourth POV finished her first chapter. That was so fun for me!!! Even though each author has her own style, they all still blended so well together!!
The narrators were also sooooo well casted. I was able to visualize each widow based on the voices and that, also, was a lot of fun to experience.
Definitely get your hands on this book! It’s well worth it!! Great job, ladies!!!

Highly Recommend! One of the BEST Audiobooks EVER!
I was recommended to listen to this audiobook by Brad and Britney from AudioShelf and they were absolutely CORRECT! I work night shift, so I started this book at 1am and honestly could not stop listening to it. I finished it around 10am and I'm SHOOKETH! This was such a high adrenaline novel. It reminded me of the best Mob books and movies---The Godfather better watch out! I need this book to be made a movie. Like...it has WOLVES! WOLVES, I TELL YOU!
This is my first venture with these authors, but I must say, I want to read all of their collections of work now. These ladies are FANTASTIC! The plot was so tight and full of entertainment. It's like...this was a dream team of authors. I NEED A SEQUEL! I need to know how these ladies move on from all of the events that happened in this book.
Audible, if you're listening. Please make a sequel!

I thought I wouldn't like it
I'm not much into anything to do with MOB stories but I kept listening. I'm glad I did. The performances were top notch which is important to me. They can make or break a book. Not a lot of huge twists but there is one at the end. I would recommend.

Loved this book! It was a pleasant surprise!
Not typically my style of read- but I wanted to just point & pick something, so I stumbled on this- I typically go for Karin Slaughter or Gillian Flynn type reads- this was great! Characters are very likable- story moved well enough to keep interesting, laughs, suspense, relating to their stories… great read!

Unexpectedly great!
This story was well thought out, executed and performed. The pacing was perfect. For a free book, I was not expecting a lot, but wow, was I unexpectedly surprised. I could visualize everything happening and all of the characters, even the action sequences. I would love to see this made into a limited series or movie. Two thumbs up!

I demand a sequel!!!!
YOUNG RICH WIDOWS is one of the most entertaining audiobook experiences I’ve had in a while! When a plane crash kills the four partners of a prominent law firm, their wives/girlfriends must set aside their grief—and animosity toward each other—to figure out who wanted the partners dead, and who’s after the widows now. Despite the grimness of the plane crash, this book is pure fun from start to finish. Each widow has such a distinct voice and personality, and each has something important at stake that makes their individual and collective journeys so compelling to follow. This book gets WILD in the best way, with so many surprises you can’t possibly see coming. But even more than the riveting plot, I loved the interactions between the widows, both when they’re at each other’s throats, and when they learn to coexist with—and maybe even care for?—each other. Absolutely DYING for a sequel because I need more time with these women!

When is the sequel?
Absolutely a fantastic story. Story portrayed 4 strong women who had to unite to survive. A beautiful tale of life journeys related to love for men, love for a woman by a woman, betrayal, motherhood, assessment of individual roles and how each woman learned about themselves and how each accepted the differences of each woman, sometimes their strengths, and eventually a loving supportive sisterhood. I could see more stories coming from stories encountered in their new business. Love each character and wonder how many more people with whom they can become involved. Strongly encourage a series…even if only 4 books 😉

This Audiobook is a WINNER!!
With these four authors, this amazingly thrilling plot, and these memorable characters (including dangerous pets), this audiobook has earned a spot on my top 5 favorite audiobooks of 2022.
I could listen to this book probably a hundred times and not be bored. I loved this story and I hope Audible and the authors work together to get a sequel out!!
