Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

An exhilarating novel about a family's devastating accident and the tangle of secrets and lies it reveals....

The holidays are here. The extended family has gathered. The cars are packed, and the convoy sets off. The cottage is a few hours' drive - but not everyone will live to see it....

For Jill, her three sons, their wives and children, a terrifying road crash will tear apart their family. The crash will be an accident but the shattering that follows has been long coming. Because at the heart of this family lies a secret - concealed, wrestled with, festering and harmful - and nothing now can stop it coming out. But will any of them survive it?

Great story building, believable characters

Gripping from the start, bit tense. Really enjoyed it. Will read more by this author

Fabulous! Really enjoyed it!

One of those books that you are desperate to get to the end so you can find out what happens, but don't want the story to finish. Any chance of a sequel, please?!

Its NOT a thriller or mystery/suspense story

It's a family saga! So unless you want to hear about the lives of the various family members - don't buy the book. I gave it a 3star based on fiction for female readers.

I'd classify this as family drama,.....

...rather than thriller, though perhaps I was misled by the monotone delivery of the reader, who didn't express any animation until chapter 19 ...and then only briefly. As a result I never got into the story. I slowed the speed to .85 to stop the gabble of the first chapters, then realised what remained would take too long to get through so put it back to normal, by which time the voice had calmed down. Disappointing as I'd been hoping I'd found a new author
