Summary
New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Diana Palmer is back in Wyoming with a tale of love born in Big Sky Country....
Billionaire oilman Blair Coleman has always taken care of his business. After having been used and cast aside by a woman he thought he loved, his personal life is far from his first priority. He knows only one has ever truly cared for him - but the irresistible blonde beauty is the daughter of his best friend.
Niki Ashton has seen her father's friend wounded, and she's seen him fight. Blair is the strongest - and most stubborn - man she's ever known. That very heart and passion makes him the man of her dreams, but whenever they've been in danger of getting close, Blair has always pushed her away.
It takes a possible tragedy to strip away all of Blair's misgivings. Now it's all or nothing: marriage, baby, family, forever. But will the choice be too much for Niki...or too late?

Typical DP
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This book is a stand alone title in the series and is very much in the DP method of writing. While a couple of aspects of the male character is a bit weird, he is a typical male lead of the DP world. This is an easy read/listen that takes place over several years but this does not distract from the overall feel of the story, as the female lead grows up and matures you can see how her attitude changes in many aspects. One of the secondary characters got me shouting at my Hudl as he is so obnoxious that he gets what he deserves in the end. Add in some scheming women who try to keep Nicki and Blair apart and you have an enjoyable read. When Nicki has a major medical issue some may not get her attitude but as someone who has had to face the same issue I can understand why she did what she did. Enjoy.
What about Phil Gigante’s performance did you like?
Once again Mr Eargasmic turns this into a voyeuristic experience at times, he has done several DP books now and always brings the book to life with a vengeance! His ability to do the voices helps to create a visual image of each character and also create the atmosphere of the moment.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
YES!!!!!!
Any additional comments?
Some may find this weird at times but it is very much in the same vein as many of DP's previous books so enjoy!

Review
I think the books plot was good. The character of Nicky was not believable. I don't think any young lady of our time period could have been so naive about everything. Also there were to many inmate scene after which she was supposed to still be totally clueless about sex. I think that this character should have been made to appear like the young adult she is and not a child. Also the character of Blaire needs a lot of tweaking as well.

Best Narrator ever, Phil Gigante!!!
Would you try another book from Diana Palmer and/or Phil Gigante?
yes
Would you ever listen to anything by Diana Palmer again?
yes
Have you listened to any of Phil Gigante’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Phil Gigante is FANTASTIC, one of my favorite narrators ever. I read books narrated by him just so I can enjoy his performances.
Do you think Wyoming Rugged needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
I'm furious with being jerked around by this story line, so incredibly frustrating, I'm tempted to stop reading without finishing but of course I can't do that.

Fun, fast read of repressed love
Another fun, fast read by Palmer with her typical older alpha make and young innocent heroine. You either love or hate miscommunication and hidden emotion romances, which Palmer does well. I love the loyalty of the heroine and the plot but think the hero screwed up one too many times and she forgave him too easily, but a fun, sexy read regardless.

Weak story
Not one of my favorite D.P. Stories, although narration kept me listening.
Abridged book should be ordered.

Meh
I didn't like that he was looking for a woman that look like his mother. It feels weird every time that it was mention thru the story. It made me thing of Bates Motel lolol. Overall it was an Ok story...It didn't have that much plot.
