Summary
Two worlds...one desire
Bess Samson was raised in privilege, but always had a thing for Cade Hollister, the rough-and-tumble cowboy next door, even ignoring her controlling, class-conscious mother's warning to stay away from him. But he turned her down - hard. Humiliated, she grew up and moved on, but never truly gave up hope.
Cade has secretly always adored Bess - but is filled with disdain for the Samsons' wealth. Once, the families had been friends, until dark secrets and scandal caused a bitter rift, and now her family won't let him forget his blue-collar roots. But when an accident nearly costs Bess her life, the proud rancher must finally fight for the love he's never forgotten.

Unbelievable-Truly
The best thing about this book was the narration. Even though the Texas accents were too much, the narration is the only reason I listened to the whole thing. The hero was a narcissistic bully who was constantly smoking. (Why was this even in the book?) The heroin was a sniveling 23 yr old who acted 16. There was nothing about this story that was believable. Don't waste a credit or your time.

Good storyline
Good storyline but HORRIBLE editing. Complete dead spots, words cut in half. Very disappointing. Fix that & all is good!

where is Diana Palmer
Would you try another book from Diana Palmer and/or Brittany Pressley?
Love Ms. Palmer and this book is worthy of the read But there is a playfulness between characters that is missing in this story. Lets go back to Jacobsville and Wyoming and a lot more sass between our couples
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
Touching ending. The only time the story seemed to lighten up.
What three words best describe Brittany Pressley’s performance?
she was adiquate
What would have made this romance irresistible?
as much as fidelitry
and chastity are important these two are anal about it . Way too talky about it.
Any additional comments?
way too much angst more in love and less n misery.

I enjoyed this book very much!
A little long, but worth the read. Ms Palmer never disappoints me. The narrator is one of my favorite female voices.

great read
As usual, Diana Palmer wrote a great book. I loved the characters and the angst. The real struggles due to the inability to communicate feeling brought this book to life. I could not stop listening until I had finished it.

Spunkless to Determined
Another good book from Diana Palmer. To be honest, I started not to continue listening to this story because the main lady character was such a weakling. She allowed every one to run straight over her. Yet..by the end of the story, she had developed some backbone. Glad I finished listening to this book.

Interesting story
I really enjoyed the story. It took a while to get into it but once I did I was hooked. The performance was very good. It would’ve been easier for me if there was a female and a male doing this. But I guess you can have only one. She did an excellent job. I love the story and how it unfolded with all the twists and turns.

Love this book but,
This is one of my favorite books I read it for the first time paper back when I was 13. There is a prologue in the book that was not in the audio version I was a little upset, but I still love the book.
