Summary

HE’S COUNTRY MUSIC’S BAD BOY… COULD SHE BE THE GIRL TO FINALLY TAME HIM?

Born into a life of wealth and privilege, Veronica Vanderbilt has never wanted for anything. Aside from a man, that is…

Thanks to her overprotective father, Ronnie’s lovelife is non-existent.

Attending a prestigious music school in Nashville seems like the perfect solution. There, she can pursue her dreams and finally find someone to punch her V-card…

Enter Aiden Addams—a country rock god, whose reputation precedes him both on stage and in the bedroom. It’s hate at first sight, even if she does keep picturing him naked.

On the surface, the pair couldn’t be more different. But as it turns out, they each have something the other needs. She’s got the pristine image required to clean up his playboy rap. And he has the sexpertise to transform her into a temptress no man could resist.

But when the line between lust and love starts to blur, they’ll have to decide if risking their hearts is worth the shot…

Duet style for the win

Aiden has just found out his best friend has entered a relationship and he will be the last single person standing in his circle. He spirals and as a result is told a finding a girlfriend will be the only thing that can save his career. Enter Ronnie who is more than willing to enter a fake relationship with Aiden to gain some experience before moving on to a potential boyfriend/husband she has her eye on. This is your typical fake relationship / bad-boy good-girl trope. The characters are interesting and I really loved Ronnie's family. I'd love to go back and read about more of the band members from previous books.

The narration is done in duet style which is my absolute favorite way to listen to an audiobook. Joe Arden is top of the game when it comes to romance audiobooks. He can sell a scene like no one else and I have a hard time turning off these books once I get started. Avery Caris is also so good. She plays the innocent FMC perfectly. She has such a sweet sounding voice and listening to her talk is no hardship! I really felt the voice actors really sold this book for me.

It sure worth the shot

🎧 Ms Caris. Excellent. I thought I was going to "hear" the heroine of my first Caris performance, as this is my second, and I was proven wrong. The way she delivers even the 'sound effects', she is so good.
🎧 First impression with the MMC was frustrating to say the list. Manhore, if you are into those, and definitely ahole. Too cocky. Cheeky Bluenose. You just add a narrator that we love, and a story line of him teaching her. Gonner. I am not saying anything else.

Emotional, Passionate, and Engaging!

This was my first Heather M. Orgeron's book, and won't be my last. This is the fourth and final book in the Booze and Bad Decisions Series. Veronica/Ronnie and Aiden's story is entertaining, emotional, passionate, and engaging. I liked the sizzling chemistry, the opposites attract, the humor, and the banter, the friendship, and the family bonds in the story. Avery Caris and Joe Arden did an excellent job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it.
