Summary

You don't have to be a wolf to show your claws, but it helps.

My five boyfriends - yes, five - are being much too patient with me. That's pissing a few people off. It seems that when living with a pack of wolves, there are certain expectations for the alpha's mate...and I suck at this. A few months ago, I had no idea shifters even existed! I just wanted a safe home, and this is it, although it's not at all what I imagined. When an ex-girlfriend decides to make my life a living hell, pack rules say that if I want to keep my place, I need to win my own fights. That's not easy when she's young, fit, beautiful, and a wolf. And I'm not.

But with the help of a few friends, a little medical advice, and a whole lot of pent-up sexual frustration, one thing is going very, very well. Five boyfriends really are better than one. I just have to balance them with my child and these new pack responsibilities.

Because, this was my second chance. I'd intended to learn how to be strong, but I was thinking more about having my own opinions and less about dominance challenges. I should be focusing on the bully picking on my daughter at school. The pack's children are being singled out by some kid, and that is a problem, but this woman will not leave me alone!

If I want to be strong, I need to stop letting others push me around. It's time for the claws to come out.

The Wolves Next Door series contains some profanity, consensual sex, and one adult woman who falls for multiple younger men.

Brilliant!

Brilliant sexy and to top it off, great story line, loved the moments of parenting talks and life lessons. Perfect bits of sexiness and raunchiness without over doing it. Love the characters and the perfect narration for the characters. Not the typical warewolf story thank God... The depth and real life situations made this the best shifter series I've listened to so far, shame it's over, and if there's more books added to this in the future... I hope there will be... I'll definitely be buying the access to them! Glad I tried it out!

Continued story

You know you need the next book after listening to the first, and Wolf's Call doesn't disappoint.

The story continues to be a good mixture of character development, focus on characters, and yet still maintaining a plot. The story is especially fun if you consider it to be - Gabby's coming of age story - told from the point of view of Elena.

I had to decrease the stars to 4 on performance because it seriously bugs me when they mix up voices. If it is Elena's voice, use Lola the entire time, even if it is a chapter that is in the point of view of Pax (Gomez Pugh). The end result is Elena's voice has been done by 4 different readers during the course of this Audiobook as she has speaking parts in pretty much every chapter, even those not in her point-of-view. I had a difficult time keeping track of which chapter was done in whose point of view, despite three different male voices for the five mates.

Despite that, it was still awesome and I'll be getting the third book momentarily to find out what happens next. Wolves, Tigers, and Bears, Oh My!

Great listen

I loved reading the book, now listening makes me enjoy it all over again, the narrator’s really seem to get the nuances right. I’m already anticipating the last book in the series.

Boardline annoying

The indecisiveness and constant contradiction of Elena is getting very annoying. Every few chapters we revisited the entire dilemma over again of whether or not she should change and what the risks are and what would happen.. and then that would last for a few chapters before we moved on to another development in the actual story. So far this whole series could probably have been cut down by almost half of this would stop happening. I am only moving on to the next book because of the guys and I want to see what happens but I fear I will end up skipping chapters. But then again what will she have to dwell on in the next book?? I’m sure I can guess.. 🙄. Off I go. Wish me luck.

Good story but.

Overall this was a good story, but, the repetitiveness of the main female character was ANNOYING. She worried to the point of it becoming inner angst. I’m not sure that 5 men would actually put up with her constant insecurities. Maybe 1 or 2 would have the patience but not all. The narrators did a REALLY good job. I did enjoy the female narrator, it was not her voice but the written story that was annoying. It felt like the author was told to make the book longer so instead of adding content she just repeated the easiest aspect she could.
That said I did like it enough that I will read the final book although I won’t spend a credit to get it on audible but read for free elsewhere.

Aaaaaamazing

Where to start!? This series is by far one of the best I've read In a long time and that's saying a lot cause I burn through about about a book on audible A-day. You fall in love with all of the characters characters for their individuality with their individuality their they're Passion I would love to see a spin off series with Gabby and Roman Etc... the Narrators absolutely killed this series they added so much greatness to each character. I recommend this series 10 times over again and again !! I'll definitely be listening a second and third time.

Love, love this series!

I love the wolf fantasy! To be loved by five gorgeous men who basically grovel at your feet and would do anything for you no matter what, would be any women’s dream come true!
This Wolf book series is something I can lose myself in and not have to worry about all the stressors in my life. I would definitely recommend to my closest friends.

Awesome!

this book is amazing! The narrators are so good! they do an amazing job! Auryn gives a unique perspective on werewolves, and to see through the eyes of a freshly changed wolf is so cool. I love her imagination. Books one and two are so good. Now I'm off to book 3 in this trilogy. I can't wait to see what happens.

Repetitive

Love the story but completely annoyed by how repetitive and obsessive the underlying thoughts are. It just says the same thing over and over again and all five of them repeat it to each other. If you cut all that middle stuff out it would be so much better

Great story and narrators

The story line was great. I laughed out loud, I smiled, and I have been telling my husband about all the sex scenes. I had to explain how HoT they were!!!
