Summary

Zinnia Riddle has been through a rough patch, but she's not broken. This witch is tougher than she looks. Yank off her arm? She'll patch it back on with some black scarabyce blood. Mess with her coworkers? She'll grab her purse full of magic and come for you!

Now that she's the boss of her own department, life seems simple enough. Sure, there are strange creatures crawling out of the ceiling, but that's life in a magical town like Wisteria. But when two of her coworkers go missing, Zinnia springs into action.

All this nonsense with the third floor has gone on long enough. If nobody else is going to fix the problem, she will. With the help of her friends, Zinnia whips up a new potion and takes a journey to somewhere she's never been.

Will the gang be able to defeat an enemy unlike any they've ever seen? Or will they be too distracted by their new powers? Only time will tell, and time is a fickle monster, indeed.

Great fun and entertaining read

A great fun and entertaining story. This book continues to develop the backstory of characters in the other Wisteria Witches series. It also makes a great stand alone story. It is well written and very well read. There are many surprises along the way. Well worth listening to.

Another fun, magical mystery

I enjoyed this audiobook much more than Wolves of Wisteria. I think the change in narrator, change in point of view, and change in tone, threw me rather. Having now adjusted to these, I was able to enjoy this much more. Zinnia seems happier in this story, which definitely added to my enjoyment. It was fun to return to the City Hall permits department, and all the interesting characters who work (or worked, in one case) there. The mystery element was intriguing, and it was fun hearing it gradually unfold.

The narration was excellent, good expression, and really brought the story to life.

Monsters and Time Travel!

Okay, so I like Zinnia but I have to admit that she's just not as entertaining as Zara and her daughter Zoe. I think a small part of it is due to some of the surrounding characters (not a huge fan of Margaret) but the majority I think is simply that Zinnia is just not as sassy and quick with the quips. This story was better paced though and I finished it much faster than the first book dedicated to Zinnia. This whole series is a lot of fun and I am definitely looking forward to the next book. Great series for those who like magic, mystery, humor and romance.

Parents- These would be in the PG13 due to writing style, mild language, and some suggestive content/humor. Great for high school age teens and up.

Fantastic!

I just absolutely LOVE these books!!! Zinnia and her friends are hilarious! The narrator for this book (and the last) speaks too slowly, and her voice is too low. I upped the speed to 1.15, and it was perfect. She does the voices well, but I still miss the previous narrator, and I'm looking forward to having her back in the next book.

It is not what I expected

I thought it would be like all the previous books.
There is really no distinction between characters.
I really didn’t enjoy this one and I didn’t finish it.

Great Read

Wisteria Wrinkle (Wisteria Witches #7, City Hall #2) was a great read by Angela Pepper. Zinnia Riddle has been through a rough patch that hasn't broken her. She's definitely tougher than she looks. She's the boss of her own department, even if she's the only member of her department. There are strange creatures that are crawling out of the ceiling, that is typical in Wisteria. Zinnia springs into action when two of her coworkers go missing. Her friends help her trying to find her coworkers. I enjoyed reading this book and cant wait to read more by the author.

Time shifting?

Sometimes confusing to follow time shifts. However, over all another great book.
I noticed a new narrator starting with this book.

Wisteria Wrinkle

A wrinkle in time can cause so many problems if not dealt with properly. I loved listening to this book and the crew at the City Hall. So much fun with drama and witty banter. I can’t wait to see what kind of trouble Zinnia can get into next!
