About this listen
Mercy Thompson, car mechanic and shapeshifter, must stop a disaster of world-shattering proportions in this exhilarating entry in the No. 1 New York Times bestselling series.
In the supernatural realms, there are creatures who belong to winter. I am not one of them. But like the coyote I can become at will, I am adaptable.
My name is Mercy Thompson Hauptman, and my mate, Adam, is the werewolf who leads the Columbia Basin Pack, the pack charged with keeping the people who live and work in the Tri-Cities of Washington State safe. It's a hard job, and it doesn't leave much room for side quests. Which is why when I needed to travel to Montana to help my brother, I intended to go by myself.
But I'm not alone anymore.
Together, Adam and I find ourselves trapped with strangers in a lodge in the heart of the wilderness, in the teeth of a storm of legendary power, only to discover my brother's issues are a tiny part of a problem much bigger than we could have imagined. Arcane and ancient magics are at work that could, unless we are very careful, bring about the end of the world . . .

I loved every second of Winter Lost, I'm only sad that it's over. Eagerly awaiting Mercy's next adventure.

Another gripping outing for mercy
A worthy addition to the series. As with previous books, the storyline is gripping and original whilst picking up threads from other stories and weaving them in convincingly.

Yet another brilliant MT novel
Mercy Thompson is one of my absolute favourite literary treats. I've been following her adventures since the first novel and I always look forward to the next installment. But then as always I'm sad (once I've binged it) that another story is over. This book did not disappoint and as always a phenomenal narration!

Intense
Loved it all. Very complex storyline required concentration to keep up to date and close attention to datelined but well worth the effort

Winter Lost
This a a terrific mystery, we're we have know idea where it is going. It is definitely more a Murcy and Adam story as they leave the pack behind to help Gary, Murcy's brother who has been cursed. They discover a curse that has kept the earth carrying on as normal for centuries. With finding out the cues Murcy has to rebreak her mind in order to see into everyone else's. Read brilliantly once again by Lorelei King.

As Comfortable as an old pair of slippers
Mercy and her adventures is possibly my favourite series of fiction and Lorelei King is possibly my favourite narrator* so when a new Mercy book drops I'm always happy to immerse myself for a while
This one is no exception. Its not one of my favourites as we have very little interaction with the other wolves and Jessie, but its still a great story and well worth a listen for any Mercy fans. I now have an annoying long wait to the next one
* Narrators sometimes go with series though and I love just as much James Marsters for Harry Dresden and Khristine Hvam for Jane Yellowrock so hard to chose between those.
