Summary
The queen is dead. Long live the queen.
Focusing on getting the kingdom back to normal after Galina’s false and terrible rule has turned out to be a monumental task. Especially because I can’t stop the nagging feeling in the back of my mind that I need to get back to Miami. Back to Thane.
Find your mate, Pavel said, but I’m running out of time.
I arrive just in time to stop Thane’s angelic ascension. Except now we’ve got to find some mystical item created by the dragons that no one has seen in centuries. Failure to do so means he’ll die a real and final death.
This journey will test us in ways we’ve never been tested before. I just hope we can both make it out alive. The odds aren’t looking so great for either of us, especially once the undead get involved.
F--king vampires.

I'm loving this series. The pheonix people, and the humans, Angels and Reapers, and intriguing plot. I'm fascinated by these characters.

Wings of Life
Holy Moly, just when you think the threat is gone a whole new one is coming your way. dang, can't we just get a break? Anyways this series just gets better and better and the surprises that happened in this book was good and bad. but I can't wait for the next book to come out. I'm excited to see what and how she takes care of this new threat. let's not forget the narrator and again she did an amazing job too.

Running against the clock to save someone you love
I loved the story! Veronica and Thane are finally reunited, but he is in danger and she needs to find a certain artifact to help. Unfortunately, it snowballs... and in the search for said artifact she ends up doing A LOT more than expected. But the action was amazing and very entertaining. Now I'm torn because I want to know what happens next (the series is completed), but I have gotten used to "Veronica's" voice (Joanna Rody, the narrator) so I am torn whether to wait for the audiobook or binge-read the rest of the series...

Oh Thane…
Another great one in this series!! It’s one of the most unique fantasy series I have ever read, definitely recommended! Veronica is such a relatable character to me in so many ways, and I love that she has a bond with the reaper Thane, so overall unexpected! She’s also a tough woman you don’t wanna mess with!

Another Amazing Story!!
Book rating: 4.5 Stars
Oh, Veronica, I love you but you are so darn impulsive!
Picking up where the last book left off, Veronica is getting used to her new role...and all the fun things that go with it.
I enjoyed the twists and turns in the story and the growth of the world that the author created here. Veronica both grows and stays true to herself in this story, though there are some moments where I do wish people would stop her before she makes an impulsive decision with potentially dire consequences.
Mirro does an excellent job with writing all the fight scenes and there are a bunch of them in this story.
This is the fifth book in the series and the four previous ones must be read before enjoying this one otherwise, you will be entirely lost.
There's steam (finally!), swearing, violence, and plenty of witty dialogue!
Joanna Roddy does a fantastic job as always with the narration! She is the perfect Veronica. She does an excellent job with both the male and female narration and really give the characters Mirro created life with her voice.
