About this listen
Today, much of Christendom is closely associated with the eating of animals. Some churches even have hunting and fishing trips. Meat, eggs, and dairy are a staple in most professing Christian’s diets. Is any of this in line with God’s will or pleasing to him? Could it be that so many passages of Scripture that traditions have told us are teaching the ethics of killing animals are actually stating something completely different?
This book takes a Scriptural approach to the subject of humanity’s treatment of animals, what God desires from us, and what the Bible says about it all. If you have been raised thinking that animals are here to be food for humans or for our entertainment, then by listening to this book, you will discover many edifying truths.
There are so many topics covered that almost every question one could have about veganism from a Christian perspective is answered.
The contents of the book are:
- Introduction
- Chapter one: "What Is Veganism?"
- Chapter two: "Terms Used"
- Chapter three: "What Is Meat?"
- Chapter four: "What Is God’s Diet for Humanity?"

Made me think
The narrator was good, but the insistent on using the King James Version made it almost impossible to listen to. In this day and age was such excellent modern translations with much better and complete scholarship than in the 1600s it’s inexcusable to use the KJV.
Aside from that there were certainly parts that made me think and aspects I hadn’t considered before. I was convinced by some things and less convinced by others, but this is generally because of a difference between the theology of the author and me.
In all worth listening/reading if you can endure the KJV.

THE book to read on veganism!
If you only read one book on veganism, it should be this one. A comprehensive look at all areas on the subject — probably the most comprehensive — from the obvious inhumane treatment of animals, the health benefits of a vegan diet, the environmental destruction, effects on factory farm workers, misconceptions about vegans, answers to the most common questions about veganism and most importantly the Biblical perspective, and more, no stone is left unturned.
Illuminating and thorough, Why Every Christian Should Be a Vegan will hopefully awaken the believer and non-believer alike to God’s heart of compassion for his creation that is revealed through scripture and stir in you the very same compassion.
