Summary
The world's foremost entrepreneurial coach shows you how to make a mindset shift that opens the door to explosive growth and limitless possibility - in your business and your life.
Have you ever had a new idea or a goal that excites you...but not enough time to execute it? What about a goal you really want to accomplish...but can't because instead of taking action, you procrastinate? Do you feel like the only way things are going to get done is if you do them? But what if it wasn't that way? What if you had a team of people around you that helped you accomplish your goals (while you helped them accomplish theirs)?
When we want something done, we've been trained to ask ourselves: "How can I do this?" Well, there is a better question to ask. One that unlocks a whole new world of ease and accomplishment. Expert coach Dan Sullivan knows the question we should ask instead: "Who can do this for me?"
This may seem simple. And it is. But don't let the lack of complexity fool you. By mastering this question, you will quickly learn how billionaires and successful entrepreneurs like Dan build incredible businesses and personal freedom.
This audiobook will teach you how to make this essential paradigm-shift so you can:
- Build a successful business effectively while not killing yourself
- Immediately free-up 1,000+ hours of work that you shouldn't be doing anyway
- Bypass the typical scarcity and decline of aging and other societal norms
- Increase your vision in all areas of life and build teams of WHOs to support you in that vision
- Never be limited in your goals and ambitions again
- Expand your abundance of wealth, innovation, relationships, and joy
- Build a life where everything you do is your choice - how you spend your time, how much money you make, the quality of your relationships, and the type of work you do
Making this shift involves retraining your brain to stop limiting your potential based on what you solely can do and instead focus on the nearly infinite and endless connections between yourself and other people as well as the limitless transformation possible through those connections.

Disappointing
Not much substance to this book. It’s all in the title - you need other people to help you achieve your goals. That’s about it!

well that was an interesting read!
scaling up a business can be scary and looking at hiring people is such a big step. but I now realize I might not need to hire, but I at least need to get in touch with who's. I've been grinding to a point of going to the hospital, it's time to spread the workload on people with more skill on a specific subject and use their knowledge to my advantage. thank you for this book, it will definitely change my life

I need more whos
This is a very useful book for everyone, regardless of whether you are an entrepreneur or not. Ben gave many examples of how the concept applies to everyone including some shocking examples. I found the repetition of “who” and “how” a little annoying in the beginning but i soon got the point. I found the interviews with Dan very insightful too. This book has made me re-evaluate a lot of my current activities and I now see that I am spreading myself too thinly over so many projects and I should simply find more “whos”.

Practical guide to entrepreneurial freedom
Ben Hardy is an inspirational high energy coach and narrator who brings the deep experience and wisdom of Dan Sullivan to life. I really connected with Dan’s stories and little nuggets of insight he gleaned through growing up and then building his hugely successful entrepreneurs coaching programme. Dan’s deep authenticity combined with Ben’s enthusiasm is a winning combo.
The combination of the two co-authors is powerful motivation combined with practical action.
Thank you gentlemen for being the WHOs who taught me how to generate the freedom that is coming soon in my future life and career!

Made a change from how to who in first chapter
How simple but how powerful. I was stuck with loads of projects as I was asking the wrong question, without realising what was wrong. Not how, but Who! Implimented straight away and already seaing results. Recomend it, real eye opener

Valuable information - poor performance
The information is stated in a clear way in which one really understands what working as a team and with others is what will quickly allow you to reach your goal. I will review the information again and the more you can apply to your business, the more successful you will become.
The performance though is poor. the cover says "read by..." which is so true. there are many authors who are not talented in narration and Benjamin Hardy is one of them. What really baffles me is all through the book they declare how you should always look to WHO and not just HOW, so why didn't they take their own advice and work with a voice-over artist who could have done such a better job of narrating the material, which is excellent.
It is nice that at the end of each chapter he interviews Dan Sullivan and the additional nuggets in those interviews are wonderful.
I made it through the entire book because the content is so valuable, just really wish they would have had someone else narrate the book.

Could be 1/2 as long
It was good to listen to. Here is the book summary - quit doing everything yourself and hire people to do it for you. The end.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
It had decent advice but I can’t get over the narrators. Boring!!! You need to have some UMPH in your voice if you’re going to read a “empower” book. I do not recommend

Leadership practical!
Listened to Who Not How in a day, less than a month after hearing the phrase for the first time. As an "ADHD.Rocks" evangelist, I look back on a 25 year career chafing against all the work I did that was a terrible fit.
Now that I realize my ADHD is an advantage not a curse, I also know that "procrastination is a que to start lookong for the who", rather than pile up yet another well inspired but undone project.
Ben Hardy is a great author and pleaasnt to listen to. The interviews with Dan Sullivan were informative, intimate, and inspiring. The only thing I didn't like about the book is how Hardy knocked yet another three-word book title out of the park. Leave some for the rest of us, Bud!

This was 90% too long
This book could have been 10% as long and still stated the same information. It was completely repetitive.

Who Not How
This was my first Audible purchase and it was an inspiration to listen to. I’ve always been fascinated by collaborative endeavors; garage bands that land a contract, garage inventors who earn a patent, designers who unite rather than fight.
This book delves into the “who” (the relationship) of why these teams do so well. Full of inspiring tales and practical steps, this book is worth another listen.

Title Says it All
I was hoping to gain additional nuggets of wisdom, but the title says it all. Additional chapters only seek to back up the title with story. If you can't comprehend the title, read the book. If you get the title, RUN with the concept. The interviews with the author at the end of each chapter are insightful and save the performance.

The wisdom in this book is a game changer!
Where to begin... I’ve been paying attention to Dan Sullivan for 6 or 7 years at this point, there is nobody as clear on being a hero to entrepreneurs than him. His concepts around Unique Ability and Unique Ability Teamwork to build a Self-Managing Company helped shift my mindset away from competition and into collaboration. His concepts and thinking tools have been incredibly valuable to me as a person, a leader, partner and soon to be father. This is the best summation of what Dan has created in his nearly 5 Decades of Coaching Entrepreneurs.
Ben, you crafted this book impeccably by leaning into the Who Not How concept and discussing where How’s outside of your Unique Ability caused stress, friction and lack of progress. All Progress Starts By Telling The Truth, and you led courageously with your brake downs in the process. Experience is the best teacher. Collaborate with Who’s that have Unique Abilities towards your Shared Vision and Purpose. That’s when the ease, flow and abundance shows.
Thank you Ben Hardy, Dan Sullivan, Babs Smith, Tucker Max, Shannon Waller, Joe Polish, Dean Jackson and the whole team at Strategic Coach for co-creating this beautiful framework and catalyst for myself and so many others! Many blessings to you all, cheers!

Good main message but drawn out
Very important title message but very drawn out. The entire book could have been done in a blog as opposed to an over 5 hour audible
