Review of book #5
As others reviewes, book one was alright but with each book,, combined with the narrator's range of distinct voices i am drawn into the series, it is an enjoyable romance so I will not spoil the storyline.

Although humour is very personal, for me.,I felt the small sub-plot which appears in the book did not distract but enhanced the storyline and had me laughing out loud when it became prominent at an interval for a secondary character during a chapter. This does not divert from the main characheters or story, but the combination has made this the best book to date. However, as I have implied, after book one, each book is the best until the next,which shows authors journey and a versatile narrator. from hereon 'free' readings (plus catalogue) end

I admit due to review on book#1 I began with book#2 and then, as i was interested in another character read that book, so do not have to read in order but I then went back to book#1 as there are small references to previous characters, which although explained in this series recommend read in order. As for myself I will indulge my credits and complete THIS series....as the character I am most interested in is...yes.... the last book..and to discover the 'outcome of the Redmond/Eversea generational curse

Best so far...as the.sub-plot had me laughing

Beautiful delivered and excellently developed. You dread when or if Alex will continue plotting or how he could ever be redeemed... and if either of them will come to their senses. THE conversation where you see behind his facade was truly touching. I really think Alex and Genevieve are wonderfully matched and I especially liked that is had very little to do with beauty which draws them to each other. Especially on the duke’s part...

Really, really, the best in the series! Highly recommend, but of course read the series in it’s entirety and in order!!

This book is well worth reading it starts off slow but stick with it as it builds and builds to be a page turner. Proper Mr Darcy swoon vibes

This wasn't an English narrator (for an English story) but she does her best and is better than many. The story's terrific. Sadly most audiobooks set in England are ready by Americans. I've stopped buying them to be honest. If the publishers can't be bothered to do the thing right, don't bother. Julie Anne Long is great; read the book.

I didn’t really like the first book I read by this author, but this one was good! The duke and Genevieve had great dialogue. This book is good for anyone who likes their romance steamy and with wit and atmosphere.

Cooks announcing flower deliveries in the breakfast room, revolting table manners, kippers and ham on the same plate - don't authors do their homework?
The first chapter or two were hilarious.
Justine Eyre is much improved at a speed of 1.10.
